Christmas Cactus

I enjoy my Christmas Cactus plants. And I look forward each year to their blooms.  This year they are blooming well ahead of time.  

As you can see, there are multiple blooms still waiting to open.  

I will take other pictures as the flowers bloom.

Does anyone else share my love for this plant?? If so, please share your pictures with our community!!!

@itsfi   Well I don’t give them a lot of attention!!  Some water when the soil feels dry.  And I think there is some issues that some say put them in different lighting so they will bloom.  I have never done that.  They have stay near this window for years. When we put in the bay window I put them on the window sill. It gets eastern and south eastern sunlight.  They do get some Miracle Gro once in a while.

So here are some updates on how the plants are doing.  I have kept them in the same location since the summer.   They get very little water.  But last month or possibly late September,  they were given some Miracle Grow with their water.

@caitbird   Your plants were beautiful last year❤️ I can’t believe mine are blooming so early!  They bloomed in early December last year.  And then by Christmas time they were done.  But, really I am just happy to see those beautiful flowers any time 🥰

This window is an Eastern window.  It will get am sun all morning.  And a little southerly afternoon sun, especially in summer

@Cissy63  I love that you have red and pink! Mine are pink and I didn’t realize they come in different colours

@ather  You know I didn’t see another color either.  But 3 years ago we went to a Garden Center to look for a new artificial trees.  Inside the center were all of these pots of little pink Christmas Cactus.  I had to get one.  💕💕 Thanks!!

I love Christmas Cactus plants, too!  I don't have any now to share pictures, but I enjoy looking at yours!   I think the blooms on yours are larger than any that I have seen before!  Beautiful!

@tsavorite  Thank you very much.  I have never before, at least I think not, given these plants any Miracle Gro.  Now that may be why, I really don’t know.  But they make me so happy this time of year.  And I am glad you are enjoying them too!🥰
