You hair is beautiful @trishavt!!! We are very similar in color but yours is definitely longer. I hope I can reach that point. I usually cut it off before I do 😄
What was used to curl the hair? Wand? Curling iron? Or flat iron?
@veronika23 Thanks V 🙂 I'm happy with the length but want it to grow several more inches. I need at least 10 inches to donate it but I haven't been able to reach that length. I've tried Biotin, other vitamins and eat healthy but it wont grow past a certain point. 😕
In this photo the stylist used a curling wand. I cant remember what brand it was but Im sure I can re-create this look with any curling wand. I tried curling my hair with a flat iron and it looked like I crimped my hair so thats a no go for now 🙂
Do you have a preferred brand for curling irons/wands?
Thanks @trishavt! Wow! Donating it! That's cool! Too bad nothing is helping. 😞 Maybe look into the brand Grow Gorgeous. It's hair serum to help growth. I believe it was a Deciem brand but was sold to another company...
Yeah I'm no good at curling with a flat iron either lol 😄 I love Bio Ionic. That's been my fav brand so far. I have their dryer, flat and curling iron but don't have a wand. My tools are pretty old now but still work great... just proves to me that they are made to last 😄
WOWZA @trishavt!! I wish my hair was as healthy & shiny & thick as yours! It's gorgeous 💕
Wow! Thanks for sharing @ZombieMetroAnt!!! Love the Starry Night one! And Water Lilies looks like mermaid hair. Awesome!
@veronika23, I remember a while back you talking about some hair oil or treatment that you really liked. What was it again? I am in need of a new one soon, and was thinking of buying a different brand. 🙂
@angel7594hmmm well maybe it was my HG leave in conditioner? It's called Marrakesh Oil. My hair dresser shared this product with me years ago and I still love it. It's like a cross between a leave in and an oil... so not a very thick cream and neither pure oil. Smells really great too 😄 (always bought the original one)
If you have really damaged hair and want to bring it back to life I like the masks by Moroccanoil. The intense hydrating mask is a good one. If your hair is fried try the restorative hair mask. I'm pretty sure that's even more intense and really made for fried/damaged hair. (hope I didn't confuse them.. I sometimes do) 😄 I also liked Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment... That was my go to HG back in the day when my hair was really chemically processed. It came in a jar and was solid but turned to oil when warmed up in your hands. I would apply it, comb through, put a plastic cap over, heat it a bit for a while and left it in for hours. I haven't colored my hair in years so I don't feel the need for any of these products. My hair dresser was always amazed by how healthy my hair was after all the damage we put it through. I used to do serious damage 😄
Also currently trying the IGK Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm. It was promo a while back and so far so good. The scent is a bit strong at first but it smells nice so I'm ok with it 🙂

Hope this helps 🙂
Thank you so much @veronika23! It was the Marrakesh one, I instantly recognized the picture! My hair has not been colored in several years, but is so dry because of medical issues/medication, I think. Same with my skin. Thank you again for the help and great suggestions. ❤
@angel7594 You are welcome! Anytime Gotcha on the dry... If that promo for the IGK is still available it's a good one to try too! If you want any suggestions on skin stuff let me know... I have dry skin, dry hair, dry, dry, dry 😄
I never really see any discussion on dry skin....
I want to go to Philadelphia just to check this place out #GirlPower
girl power! this is fantastic
That sounds amazing!
Ladies I have a problem! I am hoping this thread full of lovely people could help me.
A quick back story:
A couple of years ago, in lovely Hawaii, the side skin of my toe got swollen (infected somehow in the ocean) and then it got back to normal after a few days but the skin around the nail got very dry and super thick and it is not pretty looking anymore. This has been upsetting me ever since. I tried moisturizing regularly and sometimes exfoliating but nothing brought back the soft normal skin back. What is this called and how can I fix it?
Summer is coming y'all help a sister out 😄
I strongly suggest that you go to a good dermatologist for this! If this is upsetting you, you need someone to see it in person and give you real answers.
Thanks! With my crazy work schedule, not possible unfortunately.
@aydasu I know you are super busy and it could be nothing but what if it was something.... what if it could turn into something more serious you know? Maybe at least show it to your gp next time you see her/him. I had something kinda similar except it was like a bump under my big toes, didn't hurt just looked weird... I eventually saw a specialist that told me it was nothing, probably caused by wearing certain type of shoes and it would go away on it's own. I get pedi's often and exfoliating and creams didn't do anything... eventually it went away but took like 10 years 😄
Thanks 😄 Ok, I will ask my GP when I have my checkup in 2 months. I hope she knows what is up 🙂
I appreciate the mention @ZombieMetroAnt! and the vote of confidence 😉 They look like gels and I've never done those on myself. Maybe I'll give it a try one day when I feel like a bit of a challenge. 🙂 They sure are pretty though!
