To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections. For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.

Tips and Tricks to Panning/Getting Some Use Out of Your Stash:
Take photos!!When you think you aren’t making a dent in anything look back at those photos, I’m certain you’ll see some changes😃*this is the number one recommendation for everyone, regardless of how long you’ve been panning! Those photos add up and can help you realize progress you might otherwise overlook.
If you goal is to hit pan or use something up entirely, try concentrating your brush/applicator in the same area each time you use it
Multitask your products: eyeshadows as highlighter, lipstick as blush, eyeshadow as brow powder, etc.
Layer eyeshadow to create different colors (this is especially helpful to get use out of shades you’re not fond of).
Have shadows with a ton of fall out?Use water
Watching the progress of others’ can be fun but try not compare your progress to theirs. We all use our makeup differently and have different goals.
Don’t restrict yourself to only using the item(s) you are working on.It’s more than OK to incorporate other items or take a break!
Makeup should be fun….if you begin to dread doing your makeup because you made a commitment to use a product that you now hate, TOSS IT!Do not force yourself to use up something you don’t like.Move on to something else! (This includes excluding particular shades from your goals if focusing on palettes, etc.)
Beautiful collection of items to pan, @blackkitty2014!! Those PMG mini glosses are so bottomless. And an hourglass powder!! So excited to see your progress!!
Beautiful choices @blackkitty2014! 😍 You’ve been killing it with that Tom Ford palette - super impressive that you’ve hit pan on so many shadows already. I’m excited to see you make that happen on the blusher. I have utmost faith in you!
Ohhh, is that the YSL lip oil? It was one my favorite lip products from their brand! ♥️
Yes the YSL is the lip oils that they discontinued. I only have 2 shades but seems liked they last and last @itsfi😂🤣 I’m so excited to hit pan of 1 more shadow on the TF palette today 😘
@blackkitty2014 -- Great to put in a "gimme" product right at the start. I cannot even imagine finishing such a huge bottle of fragrance in my lifetime, but you're on the verge!
Pretty glosses, gorgeous palettes. I'll be watching, I'm sure you'll make a dent in a while. Those HG powders are so finely milled but so firmly packed.
@Samtian, adding the Bobbi Brown palette into the challenge brought me back to the excitement of when I first jumped into the pan challenge with the Biba palette and wondering how long it would take to hit pan and which shade it would be. 😊 I almost put in a third palette, but thought “whoa, Fi! Hold on there, no need to get ahead of yourself!” Hahaha!
It took me a while to find a green eyeshadow palette I really liked @Guessgal. Of course there were so many good ones released last year. This was the first I picked up and I knew I had to put it to use!! 💚
@itsfi@Guessgal This Bobbi Brown one is by far the best looking mainstream green palette to me (although I think for what I like indie brands killed it for green palettes last year).
There were some amazing green palettes from indie brands last year @haleyvvvv! Lots of variety of greens in different finishes and tones. 💚 The Bobbi Brown Jadestone has colors I could see myself reaching for on the daily and is something I'm more likely to hit pan on, but that gold shade. It's gonna be the most challenging one for me. There's a part of me that wants to say "challenge accepted!" 😂 but I'm gonna have to come up with a game plan for usage because if we're going on just what I'll use instictively, I may never reach for that shade. Hmmm... gonna have to do some thing on that one!
Go @itsfi ! It's a lot of powder products but still seems very doable having seen your success with Biba thus far. The Lip Suede compact is very interesting, love those shades. And the BB palette is good for every season, isn't it?
Thank you @heavyhedon! I’m looking forward to another year of panning together! 😃 Yeah, I didn’t include any foundation or more emollient products this time. I’m pretty good with rotating and working through my foundations so I didn’t pick one for the year but I might pull one out for a seasonal pan.
The middle shade in that lipstick compact is a hard one to wear on its own. I’ve been using it as a lip primer and also pairing it with a lip liner so hopefully that will help me work through it. It’s my least favorite shade on its own from the lip suede - just watch, it’ll probably be the first to hit pan. 🤣 The BB palette has some fun shades to play with.
