*12/15/19 - The 2020 thread is now live: Pan It! - 2020 Challenge!
๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ Hi All!
Can y'all believe 2019 is literally knocking on the door?? Given its proximity it's high time we get the 2019 Panning Challenge Rolling.
The "Rules"
To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections. For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.
Getting Started (please share the following)

Tips and Tricks to Panning/Getting Some Use Out of Your Stash:
Ideas to Help You Pan Those Items:
Past Panning Challenges:
May pan be ever in your favor!
@Kaylabr wow youโre doing so well! I envy your highlighter pan!! I have so many highlighters that I feel like Iโll never see the end of one, despite having 3 in my project for this year ๐๐
Thank you! With the hourglass palette, I've been able to use it in a few different ways which has made it easier to get through. I use them all all over the face to set and the darkest one as a bronzer. I've also used them for eyeshadow and the middle one for a targeted highlight. For the becca cream highlighter i've used it under and over foundation. I hear you - highlighter is one of my favorite products so I get even more excited when I hit pan on one. I think you have a great goal in mind for the year. You got this!
@Kaylabr, your almost finished Hourglass palette is a thing of beauty! Great job!
Thatโs a lot blush to go @Kaylabr ! Iโm so slow at blush, even using the same one daily. I like your goals!
Thank you! I feel the same way about my blush usage haha. But then I look at my progress over the last year and see how much I've used up.
Love the word chuffed @Kaylabr! Great job on using those blushes and all of your other products.
haha thank you! it's definitely been a word i find myself using more and more because it makes me smile. it's been fun working with old favorites in new ways and its been exciting to be hitting pan on more products.
Itโs scary sometimes how inside my head you are @ShortErica ! Lol
Isn't it crazy?! I try to read the responses others make before posting and many times yours are exactly what I want to say. Great minds @missjeanie?
Any guess on how many uses it took you to hit pan on the Tarte blush @christyrc? I've been tracking mine and it's over 100 and it looks like I've barely made a dent. ๐ข
I think I'm a light blush user too @christyrc. I'll let you know when I get to 250 and see if there is pan. Thanks for the encouragement.
May the blush be with me!
Thanks again to the BIC members who have helped with prior selections: @GG84 - Authentic for January, @GG84 -Skillful for February, @eshoe - Angelic for March and @ElleElleG - Exhilarating for April.
A little detail about the shades I have:
Tarte holiday blush bazaar top circle (at 12 o'clock) then rotating clockwise:
-Highlight - Whimsical - X Not Included X
-Angelic (peachy pink) โ X March X
-Fortunate (pink melon)
-Skillful (pink berry) โ X February X
-Exhilarating (fuschia) - X April X
Second circle (at 1 o'clock) then rotating clockwise:
-Endless (pink raspberry)
-Dainty (melon)
-Extraordinary (shimmering coral)
-Highlight - Worthy - X Not Included X
-Authentic (plummy rose) - X January X
-Tarte blush - Paaarty (nude)
-Bare Minerals Secret (mauve)
Didn't take a before picture and the after wouldn't have shown much progress anyway. Oops!
This is definitely a brighter pink. Sometimes if I wore too much with the pairing of the Bite lip crayon in Glace I was on the verge of clownish looking. But it can be applied softly and when it was more flattering, either as part of this pair or on its own I enjoyed it. In the pan this shade looks quite brown especially compared to its description.
Iโve already missed out on May 1st so help me with a quick decision for tomorrow. Thanks!
@ShortErica That plummy rose shade for January looks very pretty! Did you end up liking it during this planning challenge? If not, which was your favourite?
The January shade was good. It paired super well with purple leaning lips. I would say February surprised me the most since I hadn't tried it prior to my blush pan challenge (it's weird calling it pan since I won't hit it but I guess it's rotating pan?). It is perfect for a soft flush of color. I prefer a natural look so it was wonderful. March gave me more of a neutral blush look and prior to the challenge was my favorite but I think the pink flush is more my style so February wins so far @Guessgal.
@sparklekai has inspired me to dip into the Paaarty! blush again since she hit pan. I doubt I'll be able to do it. I already have 100+ uses and it barely shows any dip. But I am now curious how the soft pink flush of the February choice and Paaarty! will compare. I think February has the edge.
if it makes you feel better i think i've been paaarty almost exclusively since January and i wear makeup 5-6 days a week! he's a stubborn bugger!
