Whenever there's a big sale, there's always chatter before during...but let's hear about after.  It can be something that you wish you ordered, or something that went OOS before you could make your purchase.  And anything in between!

I forgot that misses out on CLINIQUE Pop Plush™ Creamy Lip Gloss  in Strawberry.   I honestly don't think Ulta got it back in stock since it was last 50% off.  Weeks ago my local Clinique counter was also sold out due to the sale.  The SA sd they were making room for a Kate Spade collaboration.  I saw it online and there were only a few glosses.  I would rather the full selection of the usual line, but that's just me.

I missed out on MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist Lipstick 162 Brave Punch which was OOS.  I actually have a few MUFE that I got at Nordstrom for about 20% off or so that I haven't tried yet (thank to their generous return policy) so it's probably just as well.  

I ordered the wrong tarte product, I got the tarte maracuja juicy lip crème  when I meant to get the tarte maracuja juicy lip hydrating balm gloss  .  I honestly don't think that the finish or the color will be right from when I've swatched in store (they're so gooey in store that I've never tried them on my lips) but now that I made the mistake I'm irritated that I missed out.

I bought a Jane Iredale gloss and I'm on the fence about it.  It's too sheer, but at the same point I'm just ever so slightly in the market for a sheer gloss or two, so I'm wondering if I should've picked up another shade or shades.  It is so frustrating that they don't have them in-store.

I bought NYX Fat Oil in Supermodel, and I'm wondering if I should have tried it in the cherry red color.  NYX is inexpensive and has frequent sales, so it's no biggie.

I got an Ulta waterless lip stain, and I'm wondering if I should have tried any of their lip oils.  Nothing stood out in store, but sometimes things seem more alluring online.  Also, I'd have to cross reference in-store with online, but I'm not convinced my store has all the variations of lip oils on the shelves to begin with.  The Ulta brand has frequent sales, so again no biggie.  I do wish the Ulta sale was better than buy one, get one 50% off for Ulta, NYX, etc.  

I need to look more closely at MAC lipsticks.  I've ben through the ones in my store, but IDK if Macy's carries more lipsticks.  

I lucked out with Youthforia being 50% off, as there was a gloss I was eyeing.  It had more sparkles in it in store than the one I ordered.  I'm not sure which I prefer.

I'm all right with the SEPHORA COLLECTION Ultra Shine Lip Gloss  in Mystic Pink.  It's brighter and more pigmented than I thought (which is usually the opposite of what I find with glosses!), and I have no idea how long the pigment lasts.  But for $6 I'm not mad at it.  I do wish I had explored this line more fully earlier, as it looks like it's being discontinued.  I would have liked to see what other colors they had.

I only wear lippies (lipstick, gloss) when I go out since I'm always eating/drinking and don't trust anything to last for me.  And I've kinda eschewed lippies due to the pandemic, and my notorious dislike of mattes/nudes.  National Lipstick Day really excited me for lippies again - but has also discouraged me in a way b/c I often can't bring myself to pay $25 or so for a lippie I don't love.  And it's been ages since I've found one of those.

@greeneyedgirl107 The MUFE shade in Brave Punch looks stunning. Sorry you were not able to get your hands on it during the sale. I would like to try the NYX lip oil as well soon.

@Mellmars1185 now that I look at Brave Punch again,  I'm really having FOMO!

I'm not experienced with lip oils, but the one thing I noted with the NYX was that it didn't seem that oil-like to me.  It felt silicone-y, and reminded me of their Butter Glosses.  Definitely not much pigmentation.

@Mellmars1185 their Ulta displays just dazzle me, as they're al large and colorful.   But when I think about it, I rarely purchase from them!  And I've returned all but one if the liners I bought from them recently.  And I'm frustrated with their lack of Eyeshadow year after year.

@greeneyedgirl107 What a fun idea for a thread! I will definitely post about my purchases here. So far no regrets. I ended up picking up 3 lipsticks half off (from Sephora). I really didn't need them...so I am happy I only got the 3. I also feel lucky because when I checked back they were apl OOS online.I still have to test them out. I will be sure to report back 😊
