Canโ€™t find a blush for brown skin

I need affordable blushes that show up on brown skin

I like medium to dark reds, pinks, and browns

anybody know any good ones or even brands?

Re: Canโ€™t find a blush for brown skin

@WinglessOne @I am open to alll blushes. Budget is around 25ish dollars. I like matte and natural finishes

Re: Canโ€™t find a blush for brown skin

@mickeymouse7383  I swatched a few blushes from my collection for you. These finger swatches aren't diffused much, except for the LYS mini trio blushes; I included that photo to show you shades Unforgettable (available only in the trio) and Empower (available as a full size blush). I chose blushes you can still find at retailers and brandsโ€™ sites, which is why I didnโ€™t swatch my favorite matte pink blush (NARS 413 BLKR, a discontinued shade). I also left out any shimmery blushes.

NARS and Patrick Ta are above your price cap, but a sale helps that. In addition to Sephora's holiday event, check each brand's site to see if they've got any promos. Black Friday's right around the corner, you know. ๐Ÿ˜‰ NARS does some pretty good sales throughout the year.

Some NARS shades are getting hard to find, so you may need to check Ulta and department stores like Nordstrom, Macyโ€™s, Bloomingdales, etc. NARS has a habit of discontinuing several shades at a time. ๐Ÿ˜ž Exhibit A is a very pigmented shade: itโ€™s easy to give yourself Pikachu cheeks if youโ€™re not careful. I have several NARS powder blushes and love โ€˜em all. For me, theyโ€™re the best performing powder blushes with the longest wear throughout the day.

The Patrick Ta blush is a cream & powder duo. My swatch shows the cream topped with the powder. Youโ€™ll get the biggest color payoff that way.

Glossier Cloud Paints are my favorite cream blushes. They give the most natural flush of any cream blush Iโ€™ve ever tried, and a little goes a long way. Available direct from Glossier, and the brand's coming to Sephora next year.

Rose Inc blushes can be bought as single refills for $18 USD each. 2 of these round pans fit nicely in a MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Color Refillable Makeup Palette Extra Large , and those are very sturdy little magnetic palettes. I have a few for travel, and one of them holds my 2 Rose Inc blushes.

And shoot, I just realized Sephora no longer carries RMS Beautyโ€™s Pressed Blush. Itโ€™s still available at the brandโ€™s site, but only in shade Moon Cry which I donโ€™t have. I wonder if this blush is being discontinuedโ€ฆ sigh.

Something I didn't swatch but you should definitely consider: Danessa Myricks Beauty Colorfix - Multi-Use Eye, Cheek & Lip Waterproof Liquid Pigment  . I have several shades that I either use as-is or mix to create custom shades of lipstick, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, etc. Some shades make nice blushes on their own. Sephora sells only a small selection of all available shades; check Danessa's site for more if you don't see one at Sephora that'll work for you. Once applied, the Colorfixes dry down quickly, so you need to do some fast blending. I like to blend a Colorfix shade with a tiny bit of Aquaphor Ointment or CeraVe Healing Ointment (I personally prefer Aquaphor, but some folks like Cerave's texture better) to turn the mattes into cream finishes.

Re: Canโ€™t find a blush for brown skin

These are all gorgeous and in my prince range. Thx so so so much! I truly did not expect u to swatch them as well (which makes stuff ten times easier for me) again, many thanks!

@mickeymouse7383
I definitely agree with @elise222 @about the Rare Beauty liquid blushes. Affordable and the pigmentation is insane lol!!! So good for brown skin tones. I am medium deep/tan skin tone and have 4 of the Rare Beauty blushes.

not sure how much you were looking to spend but I definitely recommend Patrick Ta which costs a bit more than RB but the duos give you a powder and a cream in the same compact. I have about 3 of those compacts and the quality and pigment is also great for brown skin.

Re: Canโ€™t find a blush for brown skin

@mickeymouse7383  What's your budget? I don't want to recommend something priced over your cap.

Also, are you open to all types of blushes (powder, cream, liquid)? And do you have a finish preference (satin, matte, as natural-flush looking as possible, glowy, shimmery)?

I can share some swatches of blushes on my own "medium-deep to deep" skin tone, once I get some parameters. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sorry meant to post this response to @mickeymouse7383 lol

Re: Canโ€™t find a blush for brown skin

ROSE INC Cream Blush Refillable Cheek & Lip Color  in the shade dahlia or azalea would be beautiful! You could always buy just the refill pan to keep it cheaper, then if you have a magnetic palette, keep it in there.  Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Love  I think a lot of the rare beauty options would be gorgeous, too.

Re: Canโ€™t find a blush for brown skin

@elise222 @The rose inc ones look gorgeous and easy to apply, great shade range too

def will buy some thx!!!

Re: Canโ€™t find a blush for brown skin

@mickeymouse7383 I canโ€™t recommend the Rose inc shades enough. I have almost all the shades and some of them run quite deep/intense. They still blend out gorgeously, though. Like other people mentioned, the single pans are $18 and you can just stick them in a magnetic palette. If you wanna save some extra money, last year Rose Inc did either 25% or 30% off during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with 10% cash back on Rakuten so hold off if you can. I have light skin but can tag you in swatches if you want so you have an idea what the tones are like.
