What’s your favorite Sunblock?

MY favorite is not a brand you can find in Sephora but I’ve been really happy with it. Sunblock is so important when it comes to anti aging. Would love to hear what you use and why ?

I really like innisfree Daily UV Defense Invisible Broad Spectrum SPF 36 Sunscreen 1.69 oz/ 50 mL  because it doesn't break me out and it sits nicely under makeup (or as nicely as a sunscreen can be expected to sit). I have oily, acne prone skin and if I do my skincare correctly with enough time in between serums and moisturizer, sunscreen, and makeup, I find that this sunscreen sorta functions as a primer which is great.

This is great @thelastrecluse! I actually have the Innisfree sunscreen in my cart right now to buy during this 20% off sale. I saw a lady on TikTok showing that it doesn't have that nasty white cast and doesn't show under your foundation. 

As someone with oily skin, do you think it ever feels heavy on your face? Like you're wearing a mask? I like breathability bc I get hot easily.

@furbie It doesn't feel heavy to me! That said, it is still a sunscreen and does feel like a sunscreen, but not nearly as heavy, greasy or icky as other sunscreens if that makes sense lol. Definitely the key thing is waiting 5-10 min between skincare and sunscreen and then another 5-10 min before applying makeup (I don't use primer when I use sunscreen, THAT feels too heavy). But yes definitely go for it during the sale!!

@julliette88 I love SPF! I totally agree with you it helps us avoid the early signs of aging and very importantly, prevent serious skin issues. The threads above are pretty interesting and helpful if your into SPF you should check them out 🩷

 I love Supergoop unseen sunscreen too. Excellent spf and makeup primer. It’s so important to find one that works well with makeup/skincare yet it can be difficult so I really appreciate your share.

I’ve got fairly oily skin, so I need something that can help with oil during the summer, and use Supergoop! Mineral Mattescreen SPF 40 Mineral Sunscreen 1.5 oz / 45 mL    It’s very good at controlling shine and has enough tint that you get some sheer coverage. During the winter, I do t worry about the oil, and switch to #OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Sunscreen. It’s richer in moisture and has a good amount of tint. I have used the spray from SuperGoop in the past for reapplying, but they still haven’t fixed the spray, so I switched to the spray from Coola. I like the hand sunscreen Fenty just put out. And I miss the lip balm from Fresh, but since they dropped the SPF, I switched to Neutrogena.

All excellent brands. I have not tried all of them and want to try OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Mineral Face Sunscreen SPF 30 1.7 oz / 50 mL  , and Supergoop is definitely a favorite of mine. I’ve heard so many great things about Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Hydra'Reset Intensive Recovery Glycerin Hand Mask 2.5 oz/ 75 mL  im going to purchase it during the sale so know I’m curious about the SPF  hand cream you suggested. Thanks for your share

I love love love ❤️ their hand mask! I put some Sunday Riley Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil 0.5 oz/ 15 mL  on my cuticles and Sunday Riley Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil  on the backs of my hands, then use Sunday Riley ICE Ceramide Moisturizer with Vitamin F 1.7 oz/ 50 mL all over. I let that sink in for 5 minutes, then slather on the mask. I’ve got some cotton gloves 🧤 all sometimes use those. It’s also nice to use a heating pad to help it all soak it. But it’s still pretty good all on it’s own.

 The daily facial sunscreen is supposed to be a dupe for supergoop unseen. It’s clear so there is no white cast and I’ve worn it outdoors for hours with no sunburn. The sunscreen lotion works great for body. Since I found them I have stopped buying expensive brands.

I'd certainly invest in  La Mer The Radiant SkinTint SPF 30  or La Mer The Soft Moisture Powder Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 30 for daytime protection, @julliette88 ☀️

. @julliette88 I have been ON THE SEARCH for a good SPF and have tried so many. For reference, I am 36, have combination skin, and wear SPF every day.

The ones I have REALLY enjoyed are the following:

ULTRA VIOLETTE SUPREME SCREEN SPF 50+ HYDRATING SKINSCREEN 
[This one is from Australia, but they deliver to a lot of countries and it was really a great sunscreen - hydrating but not too greasy, great protection, no irritation.]

BIORÉ AQUA RICH UV SPF 50

[Absolutely viral product from Japan (but can find it in loads of places), watery consistency, great under make up, doesn't leave you greasy at all. BUT it has alcohol in it, so for some, this will be irritating.]

I also really liked the LaNeige sunscreen that @SportyGirly125 mentioned too. More hydrating and will leave you glowy, so definitely a personal preference type sunscreen.

@AnimalBrain I’m always on the hunt for sunblock too and wear it everyday like you. I appreciate the sunblock suggestions. They sound excellent. The brand ISPIN is from Barcelona Spain and I absolutely love it. It’s a super lightweight, mineral formula that also claims to help with any sun damaged skin. I’ll definitely check out your SPF suggestions
