Post in Age Defiers

Mature Skin

I'm tired of foundation drying in my crow's feet and under my eyes and cracking in my fine lines and wrinkles making me look even older than I am. I started using a tinted moisturizer instead and felt it really solved the problem. Unfortunately Make Up Forever quit selling the tinted moisturizer. I asked for a recommendation and was told to try Bare Minerals tinted moisturizer. I don't care for it because it has a shimmer to it and I feel, in my 50's I am too old, especially during the day to sparkle and shimmer like I have glitter on my face. ANY SUGGESTIONS ???? Thanks Everyone

RE: Mature Skin

NARS makes an amazing timted moisturizer with SPF.

Re: Mature Skin

@NewGran I have a lot of suggestions.  Short answer is the Guerlain baby glow, which sadly no longer seems to be on Sephora's site.  I love it.  Lighter but flattering coverage, doesn't settle in to lines, and just glows.

The long answer is that for my dry, very aged skin, I use the Korean 10 step method and it makes such a difference (my skin looks more glowy and I don't get that dry crusty look with makeup).  Basically, its a two step cleanse (oil then water based) followed by a layering of toner, essence, serums then creams.  The application of foundations is so much more flattering after.  Completely worth the extra steps.

Re: Mature Skin

Try IT Cosmetics CC Cream. Doesn’t settle, light weight with good coverage. I’m 49....feel your pain!

Re: Mature Skin

I second this recommendation. This has become my go-to foundation!

RE: Mature Skin

I like Clinique Age Defense bb cream. It’s great for dry skin too.

Re: Mature Skin

Also well into the 50s and I use Bare Minerals tinted hydrating gel cream. It does have some shine but a little powder cover that up nicely.
