What about the play box I would love that myself I don’t know how old she is but I think skins care is definitely important way before makeup. Showing the real you and keeping your skin glowing without makeup😁

I would be very offended if I received a skincare box from my son's girlfriend UNLESS she knew exactly what brands I loved and what might be a splurge I would love but wouldn't buy for myself.  Something we had conversations about and I had explicitly said something like, "Oh, I love Le Mer but just can't justify the cost, so I use Clinique."   And in that case, I wouldn't buy the Clinique.  Buy the Le Mer.  The item she can't or won't buy for herself.

Even then, tread lightly.  Unless I had been super specific about something I really love/want but can't justify buying, all I could think would be that the girlfriend is rude beyond belief and thinks either I'm an old cow or don't take care of my skin.

Now if I mentioned how much I love a product like Bum Bum cream or similar, that would be a good option.  I think body related products will usually be a safe bet.  Maybe a gift set with shower gel and body butter or something like that.  I'd always love to get a L'Occitane Shea Butter set or a Fresh mandarin set, something like that.

You could also consider a perfume you know she wears or something neutral like a set of lip balms or hand creams.  But skin care?  Nope.
