How about being over 60?? Might as well be dead. I could care less about reviews showing a new box of product too. I look on YouTube for other women who are 50 plus. Even some of them have had lots of work done so it's really hard to tell if their product recommendations are worth considering. I think I have till I'm 90 so I will be doing my own thing. If I dont like I will wipe it off. And if you stare at my $##$ face too long I'll tell you to stop staring and being rude.

I am currently using Murad Hydrating Toner, Skinbetter Science Mystro, Phytozyme DNA Youth Repair serum, and alternating a hyaluronic acid, retinaldehyde. Finish with Epionce moisturizer. I was using lots of Murad but in 2025 they seemed to stop helping. Right now Phtozyme and Epionce are helping the most. I dont stick w Sephora and Ulta only brands.

@Brwnibella I’m over 50 and use The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% for Wrinkles and Skin Elasticity 1 oz / 30 ml as an eye serum each morning. It’s loaded with hydrating ingredients. It doesn’t erase my undereye lines (no topically applied product will do that longterm), but it does plump that skin up a bit to soften those lines. You mentioned lighting up your eyes. Assuming you’re talking about dark circles, do you know what’s causing yours? Lack of sleep? Excessive eye rubbing? (I’m guilty of both of those. 😅) Hyperpigmentation? Genetic/hereditary dark circles? If that last one applies to you, no skincare product will “fix” it and your best bet is makeup (color corrector and/or concealer, for instance). Or if your tear troughs are hollow/sunken like mine are, well, same deal applies there. And as we age, our undereye skin naturally starts to sag and hollow (due to underlying facial structure changes); not much to do there but makeup or seeing a doctor about in-office procedures. But if you have hyperpigmentation caused by, say, sun exposure: you could try a low-strength retinol or retinaldehyde (aka retinal) serum or cream under your eyes. Just try not to bring it all the way up to your lash line, and start off slowly with use: once or twice a week for a few weeks, then 2-3 times a week for a while, etc., and never twice on the same day. Lots of people like CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum for this, but there are other options out there like Avene Retrinal Eyes cream. Oh, and you can use any of the products I mentioned on the rest of your face too. Do you already use a retinol product on your face? Whatever you use, make sure you top it off for daytime with a broad spectrum sunscreen. Don’t rely on SPF makeup; always apply a separate sunscreen underneath that. Many sunscreens contain at least one good moisturizing ingredient (dimethicone, for instance), so they can do double duty as moisturizers. Do you already use sunscreen? UV rays are a prime source of wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, so there’s no point trying to reverse those if you’re not also protecting your skin from the sun. That includes the skin around your eyes. If your eyes are sensitive like mine and throw fits when sunscreen’s brought up to the lash line, try a mineral (zinc oxide) sunscreen around your eyes—especially if you’re gonna apply concealer or foundation there anyway, which will cover any white cast left by that sunscreen. You can apply a different sunscreen to the rest of your face if you want.

Hi @Cruise2018 ! I’m in my 50s and my skincare routine’s a mix of different brands. There’s no single brand whose entire product line I can use. Instead, I choose products from various brands that’ll address my skincare goals and issues while playing nice with my particular skin type/behavior. I have mostly-dry combo skin: my oily zone’s just on and around my nose. All my skin is fairly sensitive and quite reactive/inflammation-prone. I’m treating hyperpigmentation, hormonal acne, surface redness, and occasional bumpy texture. What works for my skin might not work for yours (or whoever’s skin you’re shopping for, if not for yourself)—but if your skin type, behavior, and/or goals/issues are similar to mine, let me know and I can tell you what I typically use.
