Re: Tiny bumps all over face - HELP:(

I had the same exact problem. I did a lot of research on the internet and I found out that it was some sort of yeast. I believe it's called Pityrosporum. It thrives on oily skin which I had. It does grow on normal skin but since it grew all over my face I had to consult my dermatologist about it. She said it was definitely the yeast and gave me pills to clear it up. After a few days it almost completely gone.

Ah okay thank you! I've been to the dermatologist twice this year and she's said both times its just mostly scarring- but I dont feel it is 😞 I will try a third time and ask if its a food allergy or something similar.

Re: Tiny bumps all over face - HELP:(

Hi @Anonymous, could you tell us more about your skin care routine, aside from the masks you're currently using? Also, since you mentioned you've tried multiple medications as well, could you let us know if anything has been particularly effective for you over the years? This would help so much!

@spot95

I don't want to contradict your dermatologist and say that's a mistake since I'm only a person on the internet and all...but I find this very, very odd.

If your cleansers are the only things you're using and you get these little bumps, and a skin condition has been ruled out...I'd say the cleansers are not compatible with your skin and causing it to break out into tiny bumps.

I dealt with a similar issue last year when I used a peel (or it could have been a sunscreen that I was testing) and my face broke out in textured bumps like your photo. My skin is normally smooth so that was very unusual. It took a good 2 weeks for it to fully go away when I discovered it. If you're constantly using the same cleansers, and your skin is unhappy, I'd imagine it could get worse.

I just looked up a couple of La Roche Posay foaming cleansers and they had sodium lareth sulfate listed as a top/first ingredient. I would let that stuff near my face. If yours has SLS as well, I'd suspect not moisturizing after using such a stripping cleanser could possibly contribute to your skin being irritated.

Could you talk to your derm about finding products that would work better with your skin?

Re: Tiny bumps all over face - HELP:(

I just wash my face morning and night with la roche- posay foaming gel & at night la roche- posay cleanser. And all the medications have helped the big spots, but I've found absolutely nothing that helps the little spots 😕

Re: Tiny bumps all over face - HELP:(

@k617 pretty much yes - as the dermatologist thought i was putting too much on my face.

Re: Tiny bumps all over face - HELP:(

Is that all you do--wash?

The tiny bumps look like either clogged pores or irritation/reaction to me.
