Foundations that do NOT crack and show texture (pores to be exact)

Hello all, im back with another question. What is a good foundation that lasts a long time? Example, after an 8 hr day, i do not wanna see my pores or fine lines. I have huge pores around my nose and laugh lines around my mouth. i already use the benefit porefessional primer. But is there any other primers and/or foundations, or even methods that i can do differently to prevent any creasing or cracking to occur? Please, any recommendations are welcome. Thanks 🙏🏽

@nataliecherisse I think for what you are describing, the Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Pore Minimizing Primer .75 / 21gis the right choice for primer. I haven’t found one (besides the COOLA - Mineral Face Matte Tint Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 30 - Cucumber) that works in the same way to hide pores. 

I use Julep’s Cushion Complexion on most days, but also love the ARMANI BEAUTY - Luminous Silk Foundation for special occasions. 

That being said, it won’t last all day, so re-application is necessary if you want the original look to remain all day. I rarely re-makeup during the day except for my lips which are attended to hourly, if not more.

I’ve found creasing when using oil-based serums/primers/foundations, so if you are looking for a day-long matte finish, check the ingredients. If the first 4-5 include oils of any kind, might be time to switch. Good luck to you!

@nataliecherisse  Armani Luminous Silk Foundation applies flawlessly! I have uneven skin due to acne, but when I wear this foundation, my skin looks really smooth (almost airbrushed). Since I started using it, I’ve gotten a lot of compliments and comments about how my skin has improved. I also use Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Bass Moisturizer, which doubles as a primer. It leaves a velvety finish, and makeup application is effortless. I don’t do anything special to apply foundation, I literally use my fingers and tap it to blend.

I use SMASHBOX - Studio Skin 15 Hour Hydrating Foundation and I love it. I put it on with a wet Beautyblender ORIGINAL Beautyblender® Makeup Sponge Originalwithout primer. For me, primer made my foundation look worse (and by worse, I mean oily). I did try the full coverage smashbox foundation and it cracked and looked cakey. I do use Hourglass Veil™ Translucent Setting Powder - Talc Free Translucent and it helps a lot!

Also to make any foundation/makeup last longer it’s all about prepping and setting your makeup. Use a face primer targeted to your concerns so your foundation has something to adhere to and won’t slide around. A setting powder is great to set the areas where you get oily or that you want to stay matte throughout the day.  I like CHARLOTTE TILBURY - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powderand Hourglass Veil™ Translucent Setting Powder - Talc Free Translucent  Finally a setting spray like Morphe setting spray will lock all the work you did in and will make the make up last longer.
