Hi loritran, welcome and congratulations on your exciting news! You're absolutely right—navigating the world of skincare and makeup during pregnancy can be overwhelming. Having a curated section on Sephora’s site specifically for pregnancy and nursing-safe products would be a game changer. It would save expecting mothers so much time and anxiety, especially since ingredient lists can be complicated to understand without professional guidance. It’s a wonderful idea and definitely something Sephora should consider implementing. In the meantime, it’s great to see the community stepping up to help. For skincare, I recommend looking for products that are free from retinoids, salicylic acid in high concentrations, formaldehyde, and chemical sunscreens like oxybenzone. Instead, try using gentle cleansers, hydrating serums with hyaluronic acid, and mineral-based sunscreens with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Brands like Biossance, Summer Fridays, and The Ordinary (select products) are popular choices and often considered safe when you're expecting. For makeup, mineral formulas are usually a safe bet. Stick to foundations and powders with simple, clean ingredient lists. ILIA Beauty and RMS Beauty have great reputations in the clean beauty space and are gentle on sensitive or hormonal skin. Always check with your healthcare provider or dermatologist if you're unsure, especially about active ingredients. Thanks again for raising this important topic—creating more accessible resources for pregnant and nursing mothers would definitely empower us all to make more informed and confident choices! https://www.magarideals.com/

My biggest is tip is how you’re washing your hair. Focus on a section of your scalp at a time, go under the water as you’re massaging to get a good sud going. More importantly give a good scrub/massage, with fingertips never your nails, for at LEAST a few minutes. I think too many people don’t spend enough time washing. Just focus on getting your actual scalp clean and hair will get clean in the process. Now if your hair is quite greasy, then shampoo twice BUT apply conditioner on your mid to ends, so the second round of shampoo isn’t stripping your hair. Wash. Then use a hair mask or conditioner, but not on your scalp. Leave it in for 5-10 minutes and rinse. Use leave in conditioner after the shower Some oil on your ends You’d probably also benefit from a haircut and a bonding treatment. Redkin ABC is my fav (sold at ulta)If you do all this, I promise it will help. oh! And I have to share my fav shampoo ever because it’s slept on - Costco lol. It’s their big purple bottle with their name brand “Kirkland”.

I have so many!! No such thing as training your hair to go longer between washes. Just wash it when it’s dirty. Double shampoo if it’s greasyDetangle your hair before washing. Wet hair is much more fragile than when it’s dryRedkin ABC is an amazing bonding treatment. My one of my fav products everT SHIRT to dry hair >> towel. Towels suck all the moisture of your hair and a big cotton t shirt is the best LEAVE IN CONDITIONER. My fav ever. It’s key to apply something after the shower to lock in moisture Blow dry your hair to go longer btwn washes I just love using a hair oil on my ends Let me know if you have any specific questions 🫶🏼

Ya they’re pricey. IMO Kérastase Mini Elixir Ultime Hydrating Hair Oil 1 oz / 30 ml is worth it. The tiny bottle will last. Only use on your ends. And the smell is simply amazing. I’ve also heard good things about K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Mini Molecular Repair Hair Oil 0.34 oz / 10 mL You seem young…I feel like Coco & Eve hair oil would be more your vibe. It works great and also smells really good. They’re online and at Ulta, definitely more product for the price. good luck!

Does your hair normally hold a curl? What tools are you using? When I was younger I had very straight hair, and it was very difficult to get it to hold a curl. I had to use a thinner curling iron to create tighter curls so they’d last. More importantly, I would clip the curls to my head as I went, to make sure the curls were properly cooling off. I would leave the clips in for about 30 minutes and then hairspray it. I like Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray good hold and zero crunch
