By Terry sale: Such a ~fancy~ refill component, oh la la! 😄Swatches & notes: SpoilerMascara Terrybly shade Neon Green - I’ve had other shades (black, blue, purple) of this mascara, so of course I gotta try the green one too. This mascara formula never lifts my lashes as much as I’d like, so I usually wear it over a primer. I didn’t do that for my eye swatch photos though. Here’s one of both eyes, so you can see what Mascara Terrybly does on its own for my straight short lashes: L: bare lashes. R: three coats of By Terry Mascara Terrybly shade Neon Green on top lashes, with no lash primer or curler. I’m not wearing any other makeup here. And here’s Neon Green compared to the only other green mascara I own:Electric Jade was a limited edition holiday shade of Dark Star Mascara. Pat’s Dark Star formula performs much better for me than By Terry’s Mascara Terrybly formula: better lift, more volume and length, and fewer coats needed.Rouge Opulent Lipstick shades Cherry Chérie and Coral Crush - also gotta try By Terry’s latest lipstick formula, especially since it’s a refillable bullet. The refill works without the case, but the little plastic cap is very loose-fitting. I’ll never trust the refill + black cap in my bag on the go; I’ll always carry these lipsticks in their case instead. The case and refill component are textured, and the case’s cap is magnetic. The lipstick feels very lightweight on my lips, like Lisa Eldridge’s refillable lipsticks. These bullets have a light floral smaste that goes away after, oh, 15 minutes. At home, I wore Cherry Chérie for 3 hours and it held up remarkably well to coffee and water, with a nice opaque matte weardown.By Terry: Rouge Opulent Lipstick shade Cherry Chérie on lips; Mascara Terrybly shade Neon Green on one eye. Attempting a type/feel of photo on my iPhone 15 Pro that I’d normally take with a 35mm camera.I wondered how much oranger Coral Crush was than Dries van Noten’s Archive Red lipstick shade, so I swatched both the DVN lipstick I got this month alongside the 2 By Terry shades: Mascara Terrybly shade Neon Green - I’ve had other shades (black, blue, purple) of this mascara, so of course I gotta try the green one too. There’s nothing bad about ‘em (that I know of for now), but also nothing special enough to make me want more shades. Eh, my mind might change after I’ve played with them. They’re creamy but not squishy/mushy textured or very emollient, so I do think they’ll work well as long-wearing cream blush. I do kinda like the pointy tip, but it won’t stay like that forever and there’s no sharpener for these (they’re retractable, but it’d be nice to have some way to redo the pointy tip). Also, there’s not a ton of product in this chonky crayon: I dunno, I’d expect something marketed as multi-use to contain more product than this.#Prada Beauty Pradalines Gliding Waterproof Smudge Proof Eye Pencil 03 Mahogany and Ember - I haven’t tried it on my lids yet, but swatching Mahogany gave me hope. It felt smooth but not super squishy, and my swatch set pretty well on its own. I won’t really know how budgeproof it is until I put it on my hooded eyes. Mahogany’s a beautiful metallic brown-toned burgundy. I’d love to show y’all what Ember looks like, but that cap refuses to leave the liner. 😡 If I can’t pry it off tonight without breaking the liner, I’ll have to exchange it in-store.Bobbi Brown Dual-Ended Long-Wear Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow Stick Bronze Pink / Espresso - not sure what stopped me from buying this a while back, but I’m glad to have it now. I love the kinda subtle shimmer in Espresso. Like my other BB shadow sticks, this one will go into travel rotation. #Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge Intimatte Buildable Soft Matte Lipstick 320 Hush Hush - I’ve said before that these lipsticks are what I wanted NARS’s matte lip balm to be: soft matte but not drying, with buildable opacity. Looks like Lancôme’s keeping this line (hooray!), so why not add an easy mauvy pink shade to my lipstick hoard.Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Mini Soft Pinch Liquid Blush shade Spirited - mini sizes of RB liquid blushes are definitely the way to go, at least for me. They’re usually so pigmented, I need just a tiny amount per application. I find the glowy/radiant blush shades are easier to blend out than the matte shades, so I grabbed Spirited when I saw it. Swatchin’ stuff: The first 2 swatches are blended out on their right sides.Reminds me of a Kulfi eyeliner shade I have, but I’m not gonna swatch-compare them because THEY’RE NOT THE SAME nope I did not buy a pricier dupe no sir not me. 😄 and Blushing Pink - I shouldn’t say much til I’ve given at least one shade a full wear test, but I dunno about these. Those have long been my favorite eye masks to travel with. Since they’re now discontinued, I need a new travel-friendly option. (The 2 eye masks I often use at home come in jars, and I don’t wanna travel with a whole jar of them.) That’s why I’m about to test Peace Out’s eye masks.SEPHORA COLLECTION Micro Masks Firming / 3 pieces - curiosity compelled me. Rather than use these on my face, I’ll probably put ‘em on my neck and see what happens since they contain fragrance.Beautyblender blendercleanser® solid Unscented - I see Beautyblender has reformulated this cleanser (available at their site): now it contains scrubby particles, which are supposed to negate the need for a plastic scrubby mat. But… I’ve never needed a scrubby mat when using the original unscented solid cleanser on any of my brushes, and I’m not wild about swirling my delicate squirrel brushes on a scrubby bar. Sooo yeah, time to buy a couple backups of the old non-scrubby formula while I still can. - during last month’s desert trip, I took several Sephora Collection coffee eye patches with me and used ‘em as both eye masks and full face serum.
