Ok so I've been wanting to make this thread for a while. I've also been wanting to start a "random thoughts" thread...but I figured I'd separate the categories so that at least the "beauty" one is on the front page, rather than hidden in off topic. So, have a beauty-related thought but don't think it's worth starting a thread about ? Post it here !

today I got a facial at an extraordinarily nice spa. A real treat. And the results were immediate and truly great. But guys: she pulled out a clarisonic and a foamy cleanser for that first initial cleanse, and I nearly had a heart attack. Great for a lot of people but most of you know how I feel about those things !!!!!! Overall, as I said, it was great and my skin is happy. But sheesh.

Nope. Never heard of her. But I'm out of the loop with what the kids are into these days. I was not impressed by the promo pic. Looked like a Madonna wannabe circa 1992. I googled her and said meh. The collection itself is a total bore. Wow! Red lips and black eyeliner you say? How groundbreaking.

I wasn't impressed either.  The MAC promo pic looked more exciting than that.  A little darker for my tastes but that glitter pink eye pigment would've snagged me.  

I guess I should just appreciate that I don't have any desire to buy this time round.

While going through my stash I found a few Deluxe samples of  REN RESURFACING AHA CONCENTRATE so I tried to find out what is it for and how to use it but apparently it is discontinued. I can't find it on REN's website or at Sephora (other than a couple of packets in a value set) . Has anyone of you ever used it or you know what is it for and where is it's place in skincare routine? Thanks

i may be wrong, but i think it has been renamed, and is now called radiance perfection serum.

i'm not entirely sure if it's exactly the same, but what i do know is that ren bizarrely changes the names of their products rather regularly.

No jemly the serum is a different product because this set contains both products i.e: The Serum and the AHA Concentrate.

I haven't used that one, but it's a chemical exfoliant (AHA). Looks like it's a leave-on product, which I use by applying after I cleanse and then letting it soak in before applying moisturizer or any other treatments.

I have zits suddenly....more than 1! I blame all this reading about other's zits and special zit bandages....I know I wanted to fit in with the "cool crowd" on BT....but I may close my account and hope to wake up with clear(ish) skin.

You guys, I keep getting these one day pimples.  They have the lifespan of a gnat: born overnight, full adulthood by dinner, dead by bedtime.  The dark spot left behind seems to linger.  What the F?  Why is this happening to us??

I want zits with the lifespan of a gnat.....why do mine stay for weeks?

I have one that developed within an hour on my eyebrow.  My head hurts.  And all this happened last night.

I will update you tomorrow on the size of the goiter 😄 My bandage didn't work too well on this one. I think it's a monster.

I was only looking at the baby zit on my chin, and I didn't realize I have a monster developing on my eyebrow!  That is a tricky location.  I only found it cuz my head suddenly hurts.
