@CookieGirl1 Yes, and i absolutely love it! I rotate it with my Davines conditioners. My hair is very soft and shiny when I use it, and it still curls well. It’s just a smallish container for the price.

When it comes to whether I support a beauty brand, I do consider and believe withholding my purchasing power is an effective means of combatting things like racism, ableism, trans/LBGT+ phobia or political contributions/support for things I don't go in for. I also consider things like whether a brand is generally inclusive and transparent/honest in their advertising campaigns. I'd rather support companies trying to make their lines accessible to and inclusive of all types of people. And I think the use of filtered photographs or false reviews can be a deal breaker. Ultimately product quality is my biggest deciding point. But if it comes down to two brands offering products of equal quality seeing a commitment to inclusivity and authentic marketing is attractive to me. I do not consider things like celebrity gossip, whether a founder is "likeable," or their general personality (e.g. I'm not impacted by things like whether I prefer Selena Gomez or Haley Beiber - I make my decisions based on product quality and that is that). In thinking about this and considering the current wave of political cancel culture we're in, I think there is also an interesting question regarding the responsibility of retailers in general. To some extent, I think retailers and brands have a symbiotic relationship benefitting both parties financial viability. But I'm curious as well as to whether the retailer or brand welds more power. If we have a, "pure" brand being sold through a retailer contributing to causes or viewpoints we don't stand for, how should or does that inform our purchasing decisions? Is it dependent on the overall economic power of the brand to engage in direct sales or sales through other competitive outlets and "cancel" the retailer while retaining their marketing support and consumer reach? Should we consider the extent to which a call to cancel a retailer is feasible for people in areas with fewer amenities or other barriers to purchasing? Considering most national or international brands and retailers have earnings invested in portfolios that may include "problematic" companies how "pure" can we ever be sure our purchases are? I don't have all the answers but do think some evaluation of retailers is as important as brand evaluation. Long way of saying yes, certain viewpoints alter my shopping decisions. But I also think it's incredibly nuanced given the world we live in where both brands and retailers are so intertwined. I mostly operate on a micro/brand-only level when considering these factors. But there are times when I think brands and retailers should be held to the same standards and that can get tricky.
