Hi ladies!  I was browsing in my local Sephora after work today and saw that Anastasia has a bright blue mascara and also a purple one!  It looked like so much fun especially with summer coming around the bend.   Just wondering if anyone is planning to sport a colored mascara this summer?  Dannyc, weren't you looking for a Chanel one a few weeks ago?  Did you ever find "the one"?   I would love something blue/greenish with a sparkly finish!

Hey guys and gals! As some of you know I am a Caribbean girl and for the first time ever I will be participating in Carnival!! So I already am confident with the makeup I need EXCEPT for foundation (concealer options will be welcome as well). You see I will be playing mas (wearing a costume and dancing) and I need some ideas on a foundation that will last all day in the SUN, humidity, possible rain, the occasional swipe of a towel AND of course, SWEAT. It does not have to have SPF in it as I will be taking care of that with my skin-care. I have normal/oily skin and I wear MAC NW43 or Make Up Forever HD #175. For the record, I am looking at the Cinema Secrets Palettes so it does not have to be from Sephora. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I'm looking for a formula that won't accentuate or settle into my smile lines. I'm 28, so they aren't really bad yet, but ARE absolutely more noticeable when I wear any sort of face makeup. I do use a primer, and of course exfoliate and moisturize my skin, plus use brushes to blend, so the weak link has to be the makeup.   What formulas and brands would you suggest? Looking for medium/moderate coverage that will smooth out the appearance of the lines and stay put all day/night. (Instead of transferring to clothing and phone screen!)    Brands I have not had luck with so far: Clinique, Bobbi Brown.

I'm curious if anyone watches Sephora TV? I like the make up ones where they show you applications and give a list of products used at the end, and some of the nail/hair ones. I'm looking for a good new show to get into.   I always have my classic gilmore girls. I seriously watch it every single day and I've seen every episode like 6 times but it is my favorite show ever. It has just always been my favorite show.   Some of my favorites are.. Gilmore Girls Castle Amazing Race Modern Family One Tree Hill (so sad its over) Grey's Anatomy How I Met Your Mother (this is recent.. just started watching on netflix) Big Bang Theory... BAZINGA!   and some various others.. What are your favorites?? Especially ones that you LOVE to watch reruns of!

I have twin girls who are half black/white and have unbelievably curly THICK hair. They are only 4 and it is so hard to get them to sit and let me comb through it and style it. I have heard about Carols Daughter products being good for their style of hair... any other suggestions before I put out $$$ for something that might not be as useful as another product? I have been using Fructis Leave-in conditioner up until now, but I have to use about 1/4 of the bottle just to get through their hair. Thanks!

I'm getting my nails done for a wedding this weekend.  A month ago I had long, beautiful, natural nails that I cut off because they were starting to split at the ends, in the hopes they would grow back the same way, but alas, now they are just splitting and looking ugh.   I am definitely getting acrylics at a salon, so don't bother talking me out of that if you intend to.  I've only ever had them done once before, so I don't know what to ask for or what style is "in" right now.  I need to know the language to ask for the right thing!  Help please!  Thanks

I went into the sephora store today and I was looking for a good brand for nightly facial regime (already have a cleanser, just a moisturizer or night cream and a serum or eye cream that work nicely together) hopefully something brightening but doesn't have to be, i have mostly normal skin, with a dime sized dry patch by my chin. Also im in my teens and am already developing slight lines and anti aging would be great ( or preventative) and also a moisturizer with spf that can go under my bare minerals without making the color different (primer does this to me) Any response helps! thanks!!

So, it's time to go on an extended no buy. I have more than I could ever enjoy for quite awhile.  However, if you have gotten to know me a bit- it's going to be easier said than done!   So, this thread is hopefully going to be a support group for me- and anyone else who wants to join me in a summer of no buy.   The tricky thing is that I've got about 40% of my toner left and maybe 20% of my daytime moisturizer- and I see pan on my HG concealer.  I have to buy the concealer since it's a staple product (and I have used up all of the other concealers that match my skin). I'd like to use up some skincare before repurchasing my daytime moisturizer- but if my skin reacts, I'll revisit the issue.   When will the no buy end?  I'm not sure, but fall collections will be on counters, if not on the leaves!

I am pregnant and cannot (and don't want to) use tanning beds this summer...I know I will get sun though, and even with sunscreen I will end up getting a tan line. When I got into makeup about a year ago I felt like Sephora was like Toys R Us for people who loveee makeup. You can sample products in the stores and theres always soooo many options for what you're looking for. However now that Im starting to get my staple makeup products down I find that there are some things I will or already have repurchased because they work sooo well for me. My repurchased items are... -Naked Basics Palette: I lovee the neutral looks I can make with this palette while also having the option to make it a bit bolder if I wanted to. -Bobbi Brown Corrector and Concealer: I love the consistency of these products creamy and go on soo smooth. -Smashbox Lipstick in Primrose: its my lips but better lipstick and sooo moisturizing 

Okay, this is kinda random but I was just wondering. Like what do others do when they have heard bad news, or having a bad day, or just are sad at the moment?   Do you go somewhere? Go for a drive? Want to be alone? Retail therapy?   For me, I gotta say it's defiantly retail therapy. It brings my mood up for a while. And sweets... nothing better than stuffing myself with candy or cookies. Haha. 

Hey Chicks,   I thought it would be fun for everyone if we did this post. I wanted everyone to think about something negative in their live that they gave up or over came no matter how hard it was and had a really good result because of it. I wanted each and everyone of us to have that "Woo Hoo" feeling knowing they had what it took to get them to the result that made them and their life better. Mine would be:   1. The  weed(being the negative) I pulled would be caffeine & the good (flower I grew) would be more radiant skin and no more jitters. 2.The weed(being the negative) would be cutting my hours at work. (Even though my job was not negative it was taking up too many hours when I wanted to spend that time with my family. The flower(good part) Getting to spend a lot more time with my family and only working 1 to 2 days a week now.

i went to the store other day and tried it of shade medium deep, it looked too dark that i look very bunt. i was thinking maybe i can try shade medium. the store didnt have the tester for that shade. Since the shade medium deep is too dark on me, i was hoping the medium shade might be the right choice. currently, the perfect shade for me 6.5 from UD weightless foundation. thank you for your opinion. 

Has anyone had experience with getting rid of or diminishing appearance of indented acne scars. The pocks aren't huge, but they exist and I would rather have a cream or gel some sort of application until winter when I have time to get some sort of laser treatment done. Let me know if you've heard of a good one or have tried one that works.   On a related note, I also have lingering acne and am looking to try a new product. The scars are currently my priority, though.

I saw a thread a while back on here about counting your makeup products.  It was amazing to see those numbers!  While I was reorganzing and going through my makeup since I have moved on to Sephora, and since some things expired and I learned that the hard way lol, I got the silly idea to take a picture of it lol. So if you're bored or just reorganizing your stash, feel free to take a picture and post it!   My collection is in the little league range at the moment lol   This is my stash after I went through stuff.  I don't use my Victoria's Secret kit much anymore since I discovered Sephora, but I still do use the blushes in it and the lip products when I'm at home for the day.  The main two palettes I've been using are from Urban Decay and Kat Von D, and I love both!       Here's my stash back to organization on my spinny organizer my granny gave me for Christmas.  It works well for the moment, but there's no way I can fit my polishes in it lol.  

I have oily skin, although my current skincare regime is doing well to keep that under control.  My pores aren't all that noticeable until I apply foundation.  I have tried several primers (Hourglass Mineral Veil, Benefit Porefessional, Smashbox Dark spot correcting, tarte poreless, tarte brightening) but my fine lines and pores seem to become more noticeable when I apply foundation particularly on my cheeks and around my eyes.  I use a flat top brush and buff the foundation forward and in reverse as suggested by a gossmakeupartist video posted by another contributor. I don't wear makeup on a regular basis for that reason, but the 2 most recent foundations I've tried are Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24HR (love that it's transfer-free) and Hourglass Immaculate Liquid to Powder (really like the finish). Maybe I'm just too picky, any suggestions?

Hi! I cant decide which palette would look better on me... my friend has the naked2 and in this pic i'm wearing some shades from it. I only used like two shades, so i'm not sure how the others would look... I wanted to purchase one of them soon, but it seems impossible to choose which one!! What do you think would suit my dark eyes and brown skin complexion? Thank you!!

What's better, a gel liner or a cream liner? Not sure what the difference is since I'm torn between buying Bobbi browns gel pot or Loracs cream liner pot.....need something that will last all day since I have oily lids!

I have combo/oily skin and I need a new foundation. Everything I try seems to just sit on top of my face and just melts off mid day. I swear a lot and that doesn't help my case. I need something with staying power that doesn't make me outlier than I already am and something that won't irritate my skin. However I don't want some cakey makeup look either. I want to try to look as natural and flawless as possible and not like I have a pound of makeup on my face. Any suggestions?!?!?!?!?
