I recently read somewhere that foaming cleansers are actually bad for your skin. This really surprised me, especially since foaming cleansers are so common. Could it be true that foaming cleansers are bad for you? Are there important differences between foaming and non-foaming cleansers? What are the pros / cons of using a foaming cleanser?

I'm new to this group and am interested in hearing advice on my routine. I'd also like to learn more about natural / healthy beauty routines (I know sulfate-free matters, but what other chemical / ingredients should be avoided?). I'm in my mid-20s and my skin type is normal / balanced with slight sensitivity. I'm also a fair-skinned and living in sunny CA so sun protection is pretty important for me. My current routine is fairly lightweight and low-budget, in part because I have no idea what's worth investing in. Details below. Mornings: - Wash face with water and towel dry - Apply Aveeno Active Naturals Smart Essentials Daily Nourishing Moisturizer (30 SPF) - If I'm exercising outside, I'll add Neutrogena sunscreen (70 SPF) Evenings: - Wash face with water - Cleanse with Neutrogena Naturals Purifying face cleanser - Deep Cleanse with Alba Botanica Facial Cleanser Lotion Pore Purifying Pineapple Enzyme Really excited to be a new member of this community! I'm thinking about trying one of the Foreo LUNA products (looking at the LUNA, LUNA 2, mini, mini 2). I'm 25 have normal skin with some sensitivity and my skincare routine right now is pretty basic (cleanser, moisturizer, SPF...sometimes try toners / eye cream / other stuff). I'm also experiencing some slight acne that I'd love to eliminate but usually have good skin. I've looked at the Foreo site a fair bit already for their advice. I would love to hear people's advice and experiences with their products. What do you use? What do you recommend for me? Is this worth the investment?
