Woohoo!!! 🎉 You did it @Samtian; this is awesome! BINGO's all around. Ohhhh yeeeaaahhhh!!! 👊 Amazing, amazing work!!!
Do you know how hard it is to find one without that one Pokemon you are not as fond of?!!! Oh goodness!!! It's been a while since I've played the game @Samtian so I had to look up some of these characters 😅
You did it!!! Well done @Samtian !!
Keep posting your November wellness activities here - always love hearing what people have been doing / have done for self care.
When you're reading for December's wellness bingo activities, check out Working Towards Wellness: December 2025
Tagging a few folks who have posted to previous Working Towards Wellness threads. Will try to update tags throughout periodically. If I inadvertently missed someone, I apologize. Feel free to tag others you think may be interested. Be well!
@adamsev @blackkitty2014 @caitbird @CorgiMommy @curlychiquita @danielledanielle @missjeanie @nuinui933 @PrettyPaint @Samtian @Shosh85
Tahnk you for the tag. This has been fun and helpful. Not sure how much I can do since I'm not on vaca anymore but I want to try to stick to it.
So, a little so over the place
@danielledanielle I'm obsessed with cold foam! I just got a new can yesterday and got the wrong kind. But it's such a level up for milk and chocolate milk for me.
Fantastic work this month!
@danielledanielle Ohhhh I'll have to head over to the good grocery store tonight and take a peek for some yummy citrus! And I think I'll follow your lead for joy and do a little treat myself today in the Cyber Monday fun! And preach on the self talk.... I wish I could say it all out loud sometimes but .... I want to stay employed lol. Great job prioritizing you in Nov!!
Closing out November in spectacular fashion with some fabulous self care activities @danielledanielle! 😍 Congrats on the multiple BINGO's! 🙌
Salted maple cold foam? That sounds so good! Good for you for getting in your walks. I do sometimes find that the cold, brisk air puts a little more pep in my step and helps me to pick up my pace. 😂
Love the self-talk for stress management. Being aware of it is so important. Stress is one of those things that will show up from time to time so it's good to be aware of when it creeps up on us and to have tools to navigate, manage those moments.
hahahahaha! Will keep an eye out on the Delightfully Decadent December Hauls 2023 thread to see how you worked on joy and treated yourself. 😉 Will be sure to send out some "Hurrah!!"s that way as well.
Ahhhh, miss Piggy !!!!! Love it, TY @itsfi
It's been a couple of weeks since my last check-in. Highlights mentioned below and it seems it's food heavy. Not quite a full board. I have plans to work on the remaining two tiles during the Thanksgiving holiday and the weekend.
Fall faves: Fall candle scents are some of my favorites and this Pumpkin Ginger from Apotheke is a wonderful blend of spices - I get ginger, cinnamon, cloves, maybe some nutmeg in there and creamy vanilla and just the right hint of pumpkin and an ever so subtle smokiness to it (which I've since learned is the roasted pumpkin notes). The vessel is beautiful and the candle burns evenly. 🙌 I *almost* purchased this candle this year but sifted through my bin first and voila, I did pick one up last year.
This is one of my favorite kombucha flavors; it comes out once a year and I treat myself to a bottle or two during the fall season. My "free space" self-care entry.
I was on the East Coast last month and I wanted to get apple cider donuts. The place we went had sold out but the donut shop also happened to be an ice cream shop so I had their homemade apple cider sorbet. Not bad. I wasn't able to find apple cider donuts in the city because the stores I visited had sold out of their stock already, but my hair person brought me back some apple cider donuts from an apple orchard.
I didn't eat all these (or the others) myself or in one sitting. I did it for science - one of the things on my fall to-do list was to try my hand at making gluten-free apple cider donuts but I needed to see what apple cider donuts tasted like so I could get as close to the flavor as possible but in a gluten-free version. It's all for science, people!! 😅
Warm & cozy drink: Homemade gingerbread chai tea latte with almond milk ☕ and, wait for it ... gluten-free apple cider donuts, Take 1. 🎬 These turned out slightly more dense than I preferred but warming them up and having the with a warm and cozy drink helped. Subsequent takes will happen at another time, definitely next fall, possibly next month.
Practice gratitude: Last check-in, I shared about combining my stretching routine with a 'letting go' practice. This week, I've been pairing stretching that I do as part of my winding down for the night with gratitudes. So, as I'm holding my stretches for a count of 10 or whatever count it is I'm aiming for, I say to myself (in my head usually) something or someone I'm grateful for. I don't necessarily do it for every pose, but I try to identify 2 gratitudes when I do this - one for a thing and one for a person. Could be focused on that particular day or not. Could be connected with one another or completely separate.
Seasonal fruits and veggies: Fruits: Nothing new, I've just been snacking a lot on honey sugar bee apples, avocaDO's, and berries. Veggies: Pretty much the same as I've been doing, but I sauteed some romanesco the other day and made gluten-free, dairy-free mac-and-cheese for balance, even if the proportions were very unbalanced. Hahaha! This is GF-DF mac-and-cheese, Take 5 🎬 and it's got potential - let's just say Takes 1-3 were not good for all different reasons.
Prioritize sleep: I've been making an effort to start unwinding and unplugging a little earlier than usual (10-20 minutes earlier). It gives my wind down routine a more leisured feel and pace.
