Whether you're starting your personal wellness journey, looking to refresh your self-care routine, working towards maintaining or further refining your wellness practice, welcome! ๐ It's great to have you stop by, and if this seems like something that might be of interest to you, we'd love to have you stick around and join us, as you feel comfortable, for another month of wellness bingo.
That's a very "The more you know ๐ " always appreciate the factoids! Nice bingo! @Samtian
May wellness bingo board has been posted - Working Towards Wellness: May 2026 ๐ธ
Please continue to use this thread to post updates or check ins about your self-care activities for April. When you're ready to get started on May activities, head on over to the new post ๐
Week 3- Diamonds. Kinda boring but it was hard to find cool facts for April.
I want to highlight healthy meal/fruits and veggies. We ordered from a Chef about 45 minutes away, and they delivered to us. She is a pro chef and here is what we ordered-
I cheated on the digital detox. Usually, I spend my break at work on my phone. Doom scrolling. Letting social media affect me. I recently started bringing my book. I read once...break room is so loud, but I ordered me some wireless headphones ( I loved wired but would always forget the cords).
Waaaaiiiit, how are diamonds boring? ๐ ๐คฃ
Oh wow, that sounds like a delicious meal @Samtian - I was trying to figure out what to eat and now I want all of that ๐ I may have to try making a salad like yours when we start seeing more peaches here.
Congrats on bingo, woohoo!! ๐
I am in dire need of changes, and I think I was susceptible to this ad I kept seeing for an app. It's Finch, I decided to give it a try and hopefully it'll push me towards stuff I've need to do. It's pretty good on helping me deep breathe, but it's still pretty early on fit me to day it's made a difference.
Springtime stroll/get outdoors/exercise: it's warmer out and I've been pretty decent about SPF to my body. I try to walk about 3-5 miles weekly.
Seasonal fruit: spring time is berry time .
Financial wellness: attempting a low buy again. I think I'm at a point where I've built the "ultimate collection" for myself, so there's not as strong as an impetus to buy stuff now that the SSE is over. ( I say this now, ๐)
@danielledanielle, spring and I aren't always on the best of terms (allergies) but it does mean some of my favorite fruits, like berries, are in season! Good luck on your low buy!
@danielledanielle Low buys are not easy! But you do have quite an amazing collection โค๏ธ
2nd this; you have a beautiful stash to shop @danielledanielle! ๐ @Samtian
Thanks @itsfi , @Samtian .... The current mantra is..."I don't need ____, I have _____ at home"
As in:
I don't need MAKEUP BY MARIO Ethereal Eyesโข Eyeshadow Palette: The Original , I have it/can dupe it at home.
It's working, for the moment ๐
pink, orange and green dots are new boxes.
grateful for friendships, had a good catch up with a friend over a yummy cheese and wine spread which is kinda healthy right? Cheese, grapes? Ha! We had salads too so that's healthy.
Warmer weather means more time for after dinner walks.
We've been touring the town which has been a blast, checking out new restaurants and new parks.
@adamsev, I love being able to get in some walks after dinner; looks like you've had a fabulous month keeping on top of wellness activities - look at you, 5 bingos?!! Congratulations, that's awesome! Catching up with a friend over wine & cheese sounds fantastic; and, yes, hits a couple of those all important food groups, too. ๐
I've been sticking to my self care focus and goals and working out and eating pretty good most days, I give myself some cheat meals or weekends off if I'm taking a weekend away but I've gone to the gym all the days I would for the last couple of weeks. Gave myself a pat on the back for it and an extra one when I did it when my gym buddy was out of town - she's good at keeping me motivated and going - grateful for her help.
Went to the cherry blossom festival with friends who were visiting, it was a lot of fun. We did a lot of walking too while they were here and I decided to do some of the touristy things with them and that (tour your own town) was pretty neat. I found some new to me places I want to go back to visit again, for a longer time, like some museums I didn't even know about.
I tried to do a digital detox before bed but couldn't do more than 10 minutes before I just reached for my phone to scroll thru texts and TikTok videos out of habit. UGh. I'll try again next week but I'm not sure I'll get 30 minutes, it's not easy.
I bet the cherry blossoms are gorgeous @nuinui933 and your festivals must be so fun. Good for you for sticking with your gym schedule; that's not always easy, you should be proud of yourself for keeping with it. And for trying a digital detox - 10 minutes is a fantastic start! That's way more than I was able to do my first time; baby steps. You got it!
Ooouh, congrats on your bingo!!! ๐ Those are some great wellness activities you got in for it and you're so close with a couple more.
@nuinui933 Cherry blossom festival sounds amazing! Kudos for trying the digital detox, it's not easy!
stretch (30 minutes): I've been mixing in some extra stretching time in during my day - 10 minutes on my neck and shoulders before bed while thinking on things, people or moments I was grateful for that day, or focusing on my hands and wrists for a few minutes while I'm waiting for kids to be done with classes, etc. The longer stretches are always great but including the little extra's throughout the day are nice additions as well.
check in with a friend focus: them and tour your town: did both of these activities on two different occasions, one over a walk visiting a new-to-me park / walking trail and another was over coffee and a shared treat at a new-to-me coffee shop. Something tells me I may be stopping by that coffee shop again. ๐คฃ
hydrate: allergy season is definitely here which means I need to up my water intake. As part of my digital detox before bed routine, I've been trying to make a few jars of fruit infused water so that I have something readily on hand should I want something other than just water - a couple of jars to keep in the house and one or two to take with me. They make for nice refreshers and I get some fruit afterwards, too. Went with pineapple water this time, my favorite! ๐๐
spring into body care: while I've been spending a good amount of time on spring cleaning my beauty collection and home, I've also tried to shift some focus to implementing a new spring/summer body care routine and have been trying out some lighter formulae and scents (while still keeping out some of the cozier ones and candles, too, since we've not really had consistent spring weather at all, lol).
I'll have one more square I'll be able to mark off, next week - check in with a friend, focus: you - but may not make it back here to post about it. May wellness board will be up one week from today, on May 1.
lol @Samtian, I'm pretty sure I can find a new route to take somewhere to pass by this place - that new route will not make any sense at all to anyone else though ๐๐คฃ๐
That chocolate - is it a muffin? Or a cake? looks yummy! So does your pineapple water, that's a smart idea and I bet it tastes good. I am going to put it on my list of things to try next month or over the summer.
