Re: Itchy scalp

Have you heard of Sulfur8? It's this amazing medicated hair and scalp treatment that's great for tackling dandruff and itchy, flaky scalp issues. The sulfur in it works wonders because it has antifungal and antibacterial properties. It helps keep your scalp clean and healthy while moisturizing it. Plus, it can promote hair growth. If you're dealing with dandruff or just want a healthier scalp, Sulfur8 is definitely worth trying!

Re: Itchy scalp

Hi, @misshabibi !  I have a dry, itchy scalp that has been under control for a couple of years with the following.

I use a scalp scrub once a week:

- #SEPHORA COLLECTION Apple Cider Vinegar Cleansing Scalp Scrub 6.76 oz/ 200 mL or

- amika Reset Exfoliating Jelly Scalp Scrub 4.7 oz / 140 mL

Then deep condition with:

- Briogeo Superfoods™ Avocado + Kiwi Mega Moisture Hair Mask 8.0 oz/ 240 mL  or

- amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask 8 oz / 250 mL

After every wash (2 to 3x a week) I use The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + Hyaluronic Acid Scalp Serum 60ml  .  You need to use this consistently and for several months.

I also avoid as many fragrance ingredients, lavender, and resin as these induce itchiness and inflammation in my scalp.

Re: Itchy scalp

Thank you so much for the recommendation.. I will defensively see if this products work ..

Re: Itchy scalp

@misshabibi  Ugh, I know firsthand how annoying scalp itchies are. If you can, see a doctor (ideally a board certified dermatologist) about it so you can get your scalp condition diagnosed. Itchy scalp can be caused by lots of things: dryness, yeast overgrowth/infection, contact dermatitis, allergic reaction to a hair product, psoriasis, eczema, hives, not fully rinsing shampoo from your scalp, not washing your scalp often enough, head lice, scabies, etc. Several of those things don’t respond to the same treatment. It’s best to have a dermatologist or primary care doctor figure out which of those is your issue, if it’s consistently happening to you. Then you can treat the root cause.

I’ve had 3 of those causes. My scalp, like my facial skin, hates lavender extract/oil (I get an intense contact dermatitis reaction), so I try to avoid hair products that contain it. I’m prone to yeast issues if I don’t wash my hair with an anti-dandruff shampoo soon after sweating a lot, or at least treat my scalp with hypochlorous acid. And my scalp is chronically dry, so I routinely use The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + Hyaluronic Acid Scalp Serum 60ml  to keep it moisturized without greasing up my hair.

Re: Itchy scalp

Yes i had found a shampoo and conditioner that helped with that but they discontinued it and I then I tried the dove itchy with the coconut and it worked but just my luck they stopped selling it as well and the other 3 brands they have work but I don’t feel they work the same for me.. thank you so much for your recommendation
