I've seen a lot of talk about 2018 resolutions and one of my biggest goals for 2018 is make hydration a habit. Rather than talking or thinking about this resolution (like 2017... oops!) I am starting a hydration challenge. Let's get focused on hydration, BIC!
The goal? To increase our hydration levels so we can all feel incredible both inside and out.
Here are a few tips on staying hydrated:
This thread will be a space to talk about the hydrating products you're using and to check in on how much water you're drinking. Let's set goals and help each other meet them! Use this thread to share how you're feeling whether you're thirsty, your skin is extra-dry or to offer hydration tips for the rest of us!
Let's get hydrated, BIC!
@ellereck oh me too, no coffee would be another challenge entirely! Maybe in 2019...
Just remember the amount of volume you drank in coffee will need to be replaced with the same volume in water. That replace water is to get you back to zero so won't count towards your daily intake. Worth it in my opinion ๐
EDIT: Just repeated what @Susubee said. Speaking of coffee!
@ellereck It's really best for all involved that I keep the coffee and just drink extra water to compensate Safety first! ๐
I started drinking lots of water years ago. If I don't have enough throughout the day, I feel really bad. It's the only thing, beside juice in am, that I drink(except on rare occasions). If people only knew how bad diet soda was for them, they would stop drinking them. I hope this will get everyone thinking about their water intake.
@yankeefaithful sugar addiction is hard to get over, but it can be done with discipline and dedication!
diet sodas are really just as bad. I wish there was more info on just how horrible sweeteners like aspartame are for you as it fools your brain.
@k617 Totally agree!! My husband was a Diet Coke fan and when he stopped drinking those, he lost about 10 pounds just like that!
My mother in law too! DH told me she used to be about 50 lbs heavier, but due to health reasons had to lose the excess weight. The first thing she cut was her diet coke (she was drinking multiple cans, daily) and she lost 10 lbs EASY!
With sugar I think it's OK to treat yourself once in awhile (as I do with my daily chocolate). But if you're going to treat yourself, might as well go with the stuff with REAL sugar rather than sweeteners!
@k617 I totally agree! Have to have my daily chocolate! That is one of the food
groups, right!!
@curlychiquita when Iโm on the road for work I keep a cycling water bottle in the cup holder. You donโt need to unscrew a cap and simply squeeze tobhydrate!
That is a good idea, @k617! I should just keep one in there and refill it.
Drinking water regularly is definitely a way of life when you live in the desert (Phoenix, AZ). I remember learning that once you feel thirsty, that's the first sign that you're dehydrated. I start my day by drinking a full glass as soon as I wake up and just keep refilling it until bed time, making sure I've reached at least 80 ounces (with the help of an app).
For hydrating skincare, I have been LOVING the AmorePacific Moisture Bound Skin Energy Hydration Delivery System. That soothing, fresh feeling of relief when you quench your thirst with water is the same feeling this gives my face. It has a nice scent to it, too. I use it after my night skincare routine right before bed for that extra boost of hydration.
LOVE drinking cold water all day, everyday!
Like others have said, the only thing that gets me to drink water is my sโwell bottle. Lukewarm water makes me feel nauseous...I need to it be cold! ๐
