Monthly Favorites: September 2025 Edition!

Happy fall—officially—BIC, I hope September has treated you well! I’m in my annual cliché fall girl cycle, hyped about the leaves changing 🍂, pumpkin everything, candles, comfort show rewatch 😉, and MORE. 🤩

Of course, I also have some new goodies to yap about, fresh from the annual Sephora HQ Gratis box haul… drumroll please! 🥁 I’m stepping into the changing season with this decadent shower oil from L'Occitane and dreamy body & hair mist from Touchland. 😍 I mix the oil with my body wash when I’m needing some extra indulgence and encourage you to do the same. This Vanilla Velvet scent is cozy but lasting, even though it’s a mist, and is the perfect fall transition scent.

Lastly, I finally got my grimy mitts on the viral Kulfi lip oil stains when they got restocked and they happily joined my lip hall of fame! 💋 They are everything they promise and more, long-lasting, hydrating and GORGEOUS shades. I enjoy that you can keep it glossy 🌟 or wipe off the gloss for a more natural stained look too! If you haven’t tried, hop to it immediately BIC, you won’t regret it. 💞

@SportyGirly125 It's definitely working, because I had no idea you have frizzy hair. It always looks so silky. My hair is terribly frizzy as well. The airstrait is really the only thing that substantially helps.

@KhyleyBT Great picks! I haven't tried the Kulfi stains yet. Lip oils don't tend to last super long on me, so that's impressive that they are long-lasting.

Those are great faves @PrettyPaint! My skin loves the Rhode Barrier Butter, especially in the cooler seasons. Ooouuh, what shade(s) did you get in the Tower 28 eyeshadow sticks?

@itsfi My skin has definitely been loving the barrier butter lately. I've been overdoing it with the Tretinoin. I got Chateau (the champagne color). I tried to swatch it, but it's not worth posting. The lighting wasn't good enough.

@PrettyPaint, Chateau is a pretty shade, lovely for a wash of color or an inner corner highlight.

@itsfi That's exactly what I've been using it for - an inner corner highlight. The tubes seem fairly small, so I've been reserving it as the inner corner highlight so it doesn't run out too quickly.

Sorry tags aren't working for you @PrettyPaint, but appreciate you still listing your faves! 💜 I definitely reapply the Kulfi lip oil stains, but WAY less than I would with any other lip which is nice. The Dr. Dennis Gross peels are amazing, I used those for a bit too! I also have my eye on some Rhode and tested some products in store, so nice to know that you're enjoying the moisture balm. 😊

@KhyleyBT The moisture balm is so nice if you have dry skin. I have a couple of dry patches on my face, and it's definitely been helping. I'm really excited to try the Kulfi lip oil stains - so glad you mentioned those!

That L'Occitane shower oil is a BIC crowd pleaser - a must for the cooler seasons! ❤️ Yes, yes to the Touchland Vanilla - I was surprised by how longlasting it is for a mist too; it's a good vanilla for layering, too! Ooouh, which shades in the Kulfi did you pick up? Is one of them Fig or Black Cherry? 😍

Agreed on the layering comment for the Touchland mist @itsfi, it helps that it's not an overtly sweet vanilla. I snagged Rose and Black Cherry in the Kulfi lip stain oils - Fig looks stunning too and I've also thought about ordering Sweet since it's a little more pinky than the Rose shade. If you grab your own, I'd love to hear which shades you add to your collection! 😍

@KhyleyBT, I have Black Cherry and have been debating whether to get Fig and Rose. I wasn't sure Rose would show up on my lips but if you're saying that it does on yours, I may rethink it. Hmmm... 🤔  If I'm remembering right, the Touchland founder layered vanilla with another scent but I cannot remember what the other scent was so I've been wracking my brain trying to figure it out (and testing different scents wtih the vanilla when I'm in store, lol). I'm determined to figure out what scents it was that she layered.

@itsfi, I think the Rose shade would look GORG on you! 😍 I always feel like it's similar to my natural color but better haha. That's a good trick to wear a scent and then test layering in store, I'll definitely utilize that tip! I just gave my sister a bottle of Maison Margiela 'REPLICA' By The Fireplace 3.4 oz / 100 mL I found recently and she was talking about layering with her PHLUR Mini Heavy Cream Body and Hair Fragrance Mist 3 oz / 88.7 mL, which made me think By the Fireplace could be a good layering with our Vanilla Velvet mist? 🤔

Following up on this perfume pairing, KhyleyBT!

Out of town and learned the lunch spot for the day was a couple doors down from a Sephora (yes!!!) so I placed a BOPIS order (gifts for others) the day before. I gave my lunch order to a friend and, on my way to the restaurant, I ducked into the Sephora to pick up my BOPIS and spritzed my wrists with what I'm now calling the @KhyleyBT Combo.

LEFT: One spray of Maison Margiela 'REPLICA' By The Fireplace 3.4 oz / 100 mL, followed by two spritzes of Touchland Vanilla Velvet Power Essence Body & Hair Fragrance Mist Vanilla Velvet. I was partial to this layering order so I went with this combo in my hair as well before leaving the store. The Touchland Vanilla is soft enough and the MM is strong enough that I felt like I could have also added another spritz of the vanilla as well, especially in my hair.

The pairing is a winner, KhyleyBT and it's not just me who thinks so.

I received a couple of compliments on the pairing - an "oh, you smell nice" from a former coworker's wife when we met up, and, at our post-lunch coffee stop, from the man behind the counter who thoughtfully prefaced it with "I'm not meaning to make this weird or awkward, but can I ask what you wearing? You smell nice ... I think my girlfriend would like it." Good pairing KhyleyBT. 👏👏

Ohhh, you are onto something @KhyleyBT! It's so warm today but as soon as it cools down I'm going to try that fragrance layering combo. I saw that Phlur has the Decadent Layering Body Mist Set - PHLUR | Sephora - all the ones in that set will be good layering scents. btw, super sweet and thoughtful of you to gift your sister the MM By the Fireplace fragrance. 😍
