Monthly Faves: October 2024!Happy spooky szn, Community! While it’s a little frightening that it’s already the end of October, there’s nothing scary about my current beauty routine. No surprises, no fuss, no jump-scares – just keeping it simple over here with my low-key autumn faves. While I love trying new things, sometimes when your days get busy you just need some solid beauty staples to *fall* back on. If only everything in life could be as reliable as our holy grails, right? 😉
Here are some of the products I’ve been picking up the most this October:
Now it’s your turn, Community! Use the reply button below to share some of your favorite products in October. Don’t forget to tag any products you mention with the “#” symbol (hair, makeup, fragrance, wellness, skincare, etc.)!
@itsfi I am going to check that out I’ve actually never tried contour this is so neat! I loved the shades the second I saw them in your photo looks like great quality. The foot mask is super cute I’ve never seen one until your post I’m looking forward to learning more, and thanks for the tips ❤️
@itsfi Pistachio and wild fig? That sounds so calming! And if it has a chocolate vibe to it, then...🙌.
@CookieGirl1, I was not expecting but have definitely been happy with the chocolate scent from this candle. It's been such a treat to light and have the scent fill the house. 🍫
@itsfi I'm always here for a yummy chocolate scent! 😋
Your photos have such a calming vibe @itsfi 😌💞 it showcases everything you've picked this month sooo well, and it looks like you had a great month of faves.
I'm going to go run off now and put a few of these new holiday Sephora Collection Feet Masks in my cart. They do look pretty cute this year! 🩵
Thank you @CynthieLu! Have you tried the foot masks before?
Yes, the lavender and the coconut ones. @itsfi I like the forced relaxation. I can't really walk around in them so it's helps. I have no choice but to relax and enjoy. 😂🐢
lol @CynthieLu. "forced relaxation" - there is something pretty beautiful about that. Do you have any activities you generally do during this time - watch a show? read a book? knit? nails? online shopping? log onto BIC?
Lol it's like you know me 😅 it's usually log into BIC , online window shop while watching my favorite show. I usually get cozy in a blanket and enjoy the relaxation. @itsfi
I love the SEPHORA COLLECTION Nourishing & Repairing Foot Mask . They are great for dry, tired feet. I agree with you @itsfi they make great stocking stuffers.
The holiday edition are so fun; an annual must have @CorgiMommy!
@itsfi I have been so curious about the Dr. Jart+ moisturizer. It's really helpful to hear how well it's working for you! That candle is making me realize I need to rifle through my own, with the foot masks it sets a very cozy fall vibe.
@PDXXXX, the Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream has been great for moisturizing my skin and helping with issues with damage to my skin barrier. It's what I go back to when my skin feels uncomfortable or rough. Do you currently have a go-to moisturizer?
Yes, find your favorite candle, or a new one you've been interested in trying; grab a foot mask (and maybe a cup of tea or glass of wine); and have yourself a little "me" time.
@itsfi you did indeed get me to get a candle going in here and it has upped the cozy factor big time 🙂 I've always gotten by on Avene Tolerance moisturizer but something has gone amuck this year. Right now I'm trying Skinfix barrier+ Strengthening and Moisturizing Triple Lipid-Peptide Refillable Cream with B-L3 1.7 oz / 50 ml and it does calm and smooth things down pretty quickly. I'm also using Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair Serum in Cream Treatment 1.7 / 50 at night. Not enough time to know if the combo will work though. Thank you for showing pictures of the Dr. Jart. That texture is very appealing and I'll try it next once I give the others I'm trying enough time to see how things play out. Hope you're enjoying your own candle or foot masks tonight!
Just tried elf Squeeze Me lip balm in Vanilla Frosting - yum!
@greeneyedgirl107 ooh, that sounds so good! I may have to try one myself.
@greeneyedgirl107 I think we talked about the Biossance Pro-Peptide™ Hydrating Lip Perfector Balm with Hyaluronic Acid Supernova ? I used it today, and it smells exactly like vanilla cake without the fake butter flavor/scent (sorry but that bugs me!)
You would probably like it- use it and the ELF together for the full birthday cake experience!
@Ispend2much6 I don't think that was me about the biossance, but it's a good idea. Thank you!
@greeneyedgirl107, does it smell like vanilla frosting?
I've been battling dry, sensitive skin this fall and am so glad I found Skinfix Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream Refillable Barrier Moisturizer with Ceramides to help repair my skin barrier.
In the meantime, Iconic London Super Smoother Blurring Skin Tint has been the only foundation or tint not clinging to every dry spot which has been a miracle.
I'm in love with the texture and slight color correction of #ALPYN Instant Bright Eye Dark Circle Firming Cream with Niacinamide & Peptides 0.5 oz / 15 mL .
I was so on the fence about paying for Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palette Evil Eye but every shade works for me, plays well together and I love how many ways I can use it.
Finally, Kosas Wet Lip Oil Plumping Peptide Lip Treatment Gloss Jellyfish continues to be my ride or die lip gloss. It says "clear" but it's really a lovely sheer warm pink and enhances my natural lip color without being opaque or sticky.
