Monthly Favorites - February 2023
Where did you go, February? This short month has surely whizzed right by, but I still had plenty of time to rack up my share of beauty faves! This month was all about second chances – giving a new shot to products in my stash that I hadn’t taken the time to really figure out, style properly, or layer correctly when I first scooped them up. It’s not always love at first sight when it comes to my beauty purchases, so I’m sure glad I stuck with them!
Here are the products I’ve been reaching for during the month of February:
Which beauty favorites did you find “Loves List” worthy this month? Reply below and let us know – and don’t forget to tag those products with the “#” symbol (hair, makeup, fragrance, wellness, skincare, etc.)!
Shout out to Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin™ Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream 1.7 oz / 50 mL for February! In January, I got burned by the cold winter air on my undereye area which has never happened to me. Lesson to bundle up better in the future! It wasn't frostbite because nothing went numb but it was so painful at times. At first I thought the skin was just dry so I applied oil - fyi never apply oil to a burn area - which just worsened the situation. When I figured out I was dealing with cold burns, I used aloe vera gel, cranked up a humidifier and when the area had stopped constantly peeling, I switched to Dr. Jart. I tend to use lighter creams but I knew I would have to go super protective. After weeks of babying, my skin finally went back to normal. Going without my vitamin C serums and retinol was a real drag so many thanks to ceramidins!!! ❤️
Quick and easy favorites used every day I think!
MERIT Brow 1980 Volumizing Eyebrow Pomade Gel Black Brown the best I’ve used for my rather sparce brows.
Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter Mesmerize the prettiest softest highlighter I’ve used in a long time.
Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Positive Light Precision Highlighter Brush debated this for so long and it was a great buy, perfect easy, light touch.
ILIA True Skin Serum Concealer with Vitamin C Chicory SC1 love the light to medium coverage that isn’t drying for my delicate eye areas and other little spots that need some attention. Lol
#Hourglass Unlocked™ Satin Crème Lipstick Fauna 340 really enjoy this formula to give the best translucent wine stain look I love. Every color is sooo good!
(Honorable mentions to Ursa Major Golden cream and SkinCeuticals eye cream. Love the consistency/ effectiveness of these and so wish at Sephora some day! Hint hint! )
I love the formula of the merit brow @Sunnysmom , I just wish they made a lighter shade.
It’s such a good one I agree @faeriegirl . Oh shoot, I guess you are pretty fair. It’s so tricky! It’s kind of goopy at first but I like it once it calms down. Lol. Just like a good mascara I suppose! 😊

I really like the new Tj's body cream as well @SportyGirly125 !
@SportyGirly125 great favorites! I bet the daisy version is lovely
@lmaster Thank you. I think the owner based the scent off the MJ Daisy perfume
@SportyGirly125 The Glossier packaging is really neat. I would not have guessed that was a hand cream! The Cherry Blossom and Almond Oil combination sounds like it smells divine.
@Mellmars1185 It sucks that’s Sephora isn’t carrying the hand cream. I think it’s the third one I have bought for myself.
I love mine @SportyGirly125 @Mellmars1185
The scents on those lotions sound so good 🍒 @SportyGirly125 Scented skin care is a double treat
I love the scent of the TJs body butter @SportyGirly125!
So much hydration right there @SportyGirly125
Febuary was sooo dry, I need hydration everywhere. My face, my hair struggled and needed help. What saved me this month were my moisturizing and replenshing heroes
Briogeo Kiwi Mega Moisture Mask
Olaplex No. 8 Moisturing Hair Mask
Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream
Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
The only item new to me this year was the Cica Sleeping Mask *i love it!* Both of the Laneige masks are great moisturizers and hydrators, the Cica mask is thicker instead of a gel like the water mask. I find it is more powerful for deep dry skin, so I rotate them depending on what my skin needs or is asking for.
Mario's Seaweed Cream is so rich, my skin just drinks this up over night. If I don't need to do an over night mask, this is my night time moisturizer.
I wear in the morning if its really cold and dry, it's a heavier night cream so it sits on my skin longer and I find it helpful when the air is cold enough to hurt my face. I think it's also an excellent price and a stand up product. I love this stuff alot.
I rotate my hair between K18 and Olaplex, I try to use each once a week. So on a day I'm using Olaplex, I finish with the no.8. I use 3 pumps on my long hair and let it sit for 5-10 minutes and rinse it out well.
My hair is so smooth after it dries 🤩 I just used it last night and I woke up to that lovely softness today. It's a great hair mask for this routine.
The Briogeo Mega Moisture is another great moisturizing Mask. If you are not into trying out Olaplex, this Kiwi mask is very hydrating. It's scented, it reminds my of a light cirtrus meets Kiwi fragrance. I even got this in its spray in conditioner counter part. My hair type is dry and it likes this line up alot. For the mask, I just give it 5-10 minutes in my hair and I get soft hydrated locks 🙂
All of these items I won't need as often in the summer but for fall and winter these save my very dry skin and hair 😁
@CynthieLu Great favs!! I see lots of my favs in your list!
I Love the scent of the Briogeo kiwi mask @CynthieLu !
