Monthly Favorites: December 2021 Edition!

‘Tis the season… to pay tribute to our December beauty favorites! Earlier this month, while shopping for gifts for others (thanks in part to all the great recs from our Community Ambassador Gift Guide for the 2021 Holiday Season), the inevitable happened: some extra items for me managed to sneak into my basket. I mean, I have to know if I like it before I can confidently gift something to someone else, right? We’ll call it research! In any case, I’ve acquired some new-to-me beauty staples that collectively carried me through my many December moods – whether I stayed home and couched it with some self-care, or actually went out in my glitzy holiday glam, complete with a highlight you can see from space. 🌌

Here are the products I’ve turned to the most this month:

This month has been full of amazing new discoveries for me. Thank to the amazing @TeamBIC , I am absolutely in love with SEPHORA COLLECTION Clean Velvet Cream Blush Palette Candied and  SEPHORA COLLECTION Clean Velvet Cream Blush Palette Spiced . Powders accentuate my texture and wrinkles more and more (it’s one of the gifts of aging…) so I find these hydrating clean cream blushes absolutely perfect for me!
I also have fallen in love with Lancôme Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara 01 Waterproof Big is The New Black Finally a mascara that holds my lash curl and separates my lashes giving clump free volume. 
As lipsticks, my picks this month have been Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Lipstick Naya , SEPHORA COLLECTION #LIPSTORIES Lipstick 59 Vacation Goals , and the beautiful and Christmas loving SEPHORA COLLECTION #LIPSTORIES Lipstick 27 Hong Kong By Night 

And again, thank to the amazing @TeamBIC , I have fallen in love with the intensity of KILIAN Paris Apple Brandy Eau de Parfum with Bergamot 1.7oz/50ml Eau de Parfum Spray , the exotic scent of Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum Extreme 1.7 oz/ 50 mL Eau De Parfum , the romantic Chloé Eau de Parfum Naturelle, the feminine Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Eau de Parfum with Pear and Brown Sugar and the fresh Floral Street Sunflower Pop Eau De Parfum Travel Spray 0.34 oz/ 10 mL Eau de Parfum Spray

I used a sample long time ago and fell in love with the texture but it was not a waterproof formula so it didn’t keep my lash curl. This one is just perfect! 😍

I have been trying to focus on taking better care of my hair the last few months, the products I have been loving recently are;

• dae Signature Shampoo 
• dae Signature Conditioner 
• Fable & Mane SahaScalp Wild Ginger Purifying Scrub 8 oz/ 237 mL 
• Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil 3.4 oz/ 100 mL 
• OUAI Wave Spray 4.9 fl oz/ 145 mL 

The dae shampoo does feel as though it has taken the moisture out of my hair, but their conditioner makes up for it and leaves my hair feeling SO soft; however, I recently purchased the Sol de Janeiro Venus Rising Set so I am eager to try those products and compare to see which one I like better. The Fable & Mane scrub is doing wonders for product build up, and I am really enjoying the Gisou hair oil for days in between washes (I have learned a little goes a long way). Lastly, the Ouai wave spray has come in clutch, as I have straight hair but use a wave iron regularly, and the spray helps add more texture and volume!

I've been absolutely in love with the dae Cactus Flower Leave In Conditioner 5 oz/ 150 mL and dae Deep Conditioning Treatment Hair Mask Travel 3oz/ 90mL ,,, I'll need to try the S&C soon!! @twilightlinkk

I've never tried a leave in conditioner before, maybe I'll give that one a try!

@twilightlinkk the Dae conditioner sounds lovely - I've only tried a sample so I feel like it didn't get a chance to really do it's thing. But you inspire me to give it another whirl!

My friend gave me her samples of the shampoo/conditioner, that's how I heard about it and decided to try it for myself. I definitely notice a difference compared to what I was using before (Pantene Rose Water something), but I still want to try a few different brands before settling on one!

Those products look amazing! I need to take more care of my hair, that I always neglect. I am curiou/interested in Olaplex and some day I will try it for sure!!

@twilightlinkk I like the Ouai wave spray quite a bit, but I usually reach for it more during the summertime. Let me know how you like the Sol de Janeiro products in that kit. I recently have been falling in love with the brand specifically the smell of the OG Bum Bum Cream (I know I'm late to the party, I resisted the temptation of the "hype" for very long and caved after I got some free samples of it).

Love love love! Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil I just returned to the cold weather-from living in the Caribbean. And this sweet smelling divine oil has my blonde locks holiday ready and touchable soft for the first kiss at the stoke of midnight this New Years!  😱…that reminds me! get your lips ready ladies!!!  Hmmm I need suggestions!! Everything lips!  💋
