Great question.

Definitely start with Smoke & Mirrors Conditioning Cleansing Oil to hydrate the hair with coconut oil while cleansing with natural, hydrating cleansers. This will keep curls hydrated and soft. 

Our new Sold Out Curl Priming Basecoat is the next step, applied to damp hair to seal, hydrate, and strengthen curls with ingredients like Sweet Almond Oil. 

Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel is a great lightweight styler to layer on top help define and hydrate curls.

Hey from Sephora Summit Reno!! So as you can see I am a big fan of the beach wave, but my hair is so dry. Which products from your line would you recommend?

Keep up with frequent trims from your stylist to the ends clean and prevent further breakage. 

Cleansing wise, try integrating Smoke & Mirrors Conditioning Cleansing Oil into your cleansing routine to add hydration. Also try using Hot Girls Hydrating Conditioner as a mask on your dry ends by applying for 10 minutes once a week. 

For styling, add Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm on the mid-lengths and ends before air/blow drying, and add throughout the day as necessary. Speechless Hair and Body Dry Oil Finishing Spray is also great to hydrate.

Hi guys! I have fine wavy hair that tends to get oily by the end of the day. I usually add product then let my hair air dry (it is super rare I blow dry or straighten my hair, but I do add curls sometimes). I struggle with adding volume at the roots and defining my waves without weighing my hair down and I get lost in the product isle trying to figure out what might work. Last time I was in Sephora I checkout out the Jet Lag dry shampoo and it was pretty awesome so I thought I'd see what you would recommend for styling hair like mine!

We recommend starting with 30,000 Feet Volume Shampoo and Conditioner. Jet Lag Invisible Dry Shampoo is great to keep the roots non-oily, and try Beach Club Texturizing Spray on mid-lengths and ends for lasting volume and to keep hair from getting oily.

Are you using a lot of heat tools? If so try air drying with Rich Kid Coconut Oil to give your hair a break. Also avoid putting your hair up to avoid mechanical damage and breakage. We also have an AMAZING mask coming out in April that will provide amazing repair to keep your stronger to reduce fall.

i have extremely thick hair super wavy... but my issue is no matter what my hair is always extra frizzy and my hair is thick everywhere but the upper part so i have a part of my hair thats flat against my head and the rest poofy! HELPS

Really fun idea, so thank you all and welcome to BT! I always have a hard time figuring out a good haircut to fit my face shape and was hoping for some advice! I've been growing out my hair and want to keep it long, but I never know what to do in terms of layers, bangs versus no bangs, etc. First pic was my last haircut, nice but as it's grown out a bit it feels a bit blunt/flat. Second pic is more what it looks like on a regular basis.

I've thought about dying my hair, but I can never seem to find a color that's gonna work. Too light might look odd with my dark brows and lashes, and too dark might wash me out with how pale I am. I can't go for any crazy colors because I work in a more conservative environment but would love to do something subtle but fun and would love to hear your thoughts!

Hi! I have crazy hard water and installation of a water softener is not currently an option. My hair is so unhappy.. dried out and requires daily washing. I do have a water filter on my shower head but it doesn't have the same effect as soft water. What products would you recommend for daily and/or weekly use? Thank you!

Great question.

First step is using the right combination of cleansers for your water situation. We recommend using 30,000 Feet Volume Shampoo once a week to help remove the minerals from the hard water, then Hot Girls Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner every other time to replenish moisture. 

We recommend finishing with Call Time Styling Primer to further hydrate with natural coconut oil.

I am interested in your Smoke and Mirrors. I am allergic to Sulfates and have been using Wen for a year and a half. I do like it, but am looking to switch. I "clarify" my hair with baking soda and warm water once a month. I never use as much Wen as they recommend. Why should I switch to Smoke and Mirrors? Also, would I need a detangler after and do you have one?

Also, same question as someone else about super straight hair holding a curl.

The entire line is Vegan and free of harsh sulfates. 

Using Smoke & Mirrors is the same concept as Wen (cleansing conditioner) but has additional cleansers in it to make sure the hair and scalp feel clean. Should be an easy transition. 

You'll also really love Call Time Styling Primer with natural coconut oil to detangle and refresh hair.

What styling products do you have that are good for mens short styles?

We suggest our new texturizing shampoo coming in April or Smoke & Mirrors Conditioning Cleansing Oil as a 2-in-1 product. The new texturizing shampoo will leave hair feeling denser and texturized, meaning using less product.

Styling wise, if you want a paste we suggest Broken Dreams Texture Paste to add density and grip or Down and Out Dirty Spray for lighter texture and shine.
