Holiday Gift Survey

Happy Friday pretty people!

We know it’s early but we’ve been taking about holiday for a while over here at

Sephora and we thought it would be a lot of fun to bring the best advice-givers and holiday experts into the conversation. Our goal is to make gifting easier for others who may need a little assistance… Because buying gifts for your co-workers can seem impossible and it’s hard to shop for someone who already has everything!

The plan is to create gift lists according to five categories:

1. $25 and under (stocking stuffers, gifts for co-workers)
2. People you don’t know THAT well (your in-laws, your kid’s teacher, a white elephant gift)
3. That person who already has it all (your beauty-obsessed BFF, a fellow community member)
4. The youths! (thinking tweens and beauty newbies)
5. Treat yourself! What do you want this holiday?

Who else could have better gifting advice than this community?! Nobody! Here’s where you guys come in. Please give 3-5 Sephora gift recommendations for the categories above. The goal is to see what you all recommend as great gifts so we can create a true list of community-sourced recommendations.

1. $25 and under (stocking stuffers, gifts for co-workers)
   The Sephora 'ornament' products (when a product is packaged as an ornament), a body lotion, or a Philosophy winter-themed body wash.
2. People you don’t know THAT well (your in-laws, your kid’s teacher, a white elephant gift)
   A gift set of Ahava hand cream, a travel sized perfume (if I know what they like) or a sampling set, a Philosophy gift set.
3. That person who already has it all (your beauty-obsessed BFF, a fellow community member)
   A luxury item, like a Tom Ford lipstick or a Burberry highlighter, or one of the newer product launches that I know they've been lusting after.
4. The youths! (thinking tweens and beauty newbies)
   A holiday set with a lot of items in it, like the ones by Too Faced and Tarte, or a blush palette, or a must-loved eyeshadow palette like the Too Faced Chocolate Bar!
5. Treat yourself! What do you want this holiday?
   The Natasha Denona Lila palette, a Tom Ford quad, or the Hourglass Metallic ambient palette. 🙂

Love the ornaments for my girls (early 20's) and hand creams are always appreciated.

1. $25 and under (stocking stuffers, gifts for co-workers): Farmacy Lip Bloom, L'Occitane hand cream, Sephora Collection foot masks (this community got me hooked on those, and they really are a great product!)

2.People you don’t know THAT well (your in-laws, your kid’s teacher, a white elephant gift): The $35 Burberry Beauty Box (exactly the type of gift I got my sister-in-law before I got to know her better!), a Nest candle (I like the grapefruit one), the Philosophy Holiday Handbook set

3. That person who already has it all (your beauty-obsessed BFF, a fellow community member): If it's a fellow community member, it would have to be something brand new like a Tom Ford Boys and Girls lipstick or something from the Fenty Beauty holiday collection. Maybe a new Sephora Favorites set. Once again, those Sephora Collection foot masks. One of the new Viseart palettes. A lipstick in limited edition holiday packaging, like the YSL or Givenchy. Lipstick is always good; y'all know how popular those Lipstick Challenge threads are.

4. The youths! (thinking tweens and beauty newbies): Anything from Too Faced, especially an eyeshadow palette like the peach ones. The formula is super easy to work with as a beginner. Something from a trendy brand like Fenty Beauty or Milk Makeup--perhaps a Kilawatt highlighter duo or a Milk Holographic Stick. Kids like to shine bright like a diamond these days, right? Fenty Gloss Bomb.

5. Treat yourself! What do you want this holiday? I would love the entire Nars Man Ray collection and the Fenty Beauty holiday collection, please. And those holiday lipsticks from Givenchy and YSL. And the holiday Meteorites from Guerlain.
