We've been waiting all year for this... This year's holiday preview event is almost here! I am currently in New York City to attend this oh-so-exciting holiday event which takes place tomorrow! For anyone who was around in 2017, this is the same event that Candace attended (#BTMemories: https://community.sephora.com/t5/Trending-Now/Holiday-2017-Preview/m-p/3080939).

I am looking forward to showing you all what's to come this holiday so will be snapping photos and swatching as much as possible at the event. Let me tell you, there are a LOT of new products coming this year! I will do my best to get as much info as I can about each and every product.

I want to make sure that I am ready to hustle to ensure I capture what you want to see and can answer all of your questions. What are you most excited to see this holiday?

Don't forget! Rouge gets to preview holiday product in stores before anyone else. Who is attending their local Rouge Preview??

This product wins holiday in my opinion. It's one of the prettiest things I ever have seen! Now I just need it to come into stock already! If you haven't tried Drybar's products this is a great way to jump in. Who doesn't want glittery hair spray and silver glitter hair ties?!

I am in LOVE with this palette! It's a great size, not too big or too small, and the colors are perfect for a holiday party or an everyday look. These swatched like a dream - why don't I buy more Kevyn Aucoin?! I think that's changing once this is in stock... Also look at that packaging! This photo doesn't do the art justice.

My oh my! The Laura Mercier Illuminating Quad is GORGEOUS! I have a thing for studs, I even made a GIF to attempt to convey the way this palette made me feel. I probably stared at this for 30 seconds appreciating the design.

Natasha Denona Gold Palette

You know that I had to borrow the Natasha Denona Gold Palette to swatch and create a look! This palette features several golden metallics with a balance of neutrals as well. I loved how easy this was to use - if you're into metallics this palette is an absolute must!

Smashbox Always On Liquid Lip Set

In case anyone was wondering who ended up attending the Clean Reserve event with me to mediate and learn about clean fragrance it was @MadhuV! You'll hear more about that in a separate thread (disclaimer: I could totally put up with having to go to these brand events on a regular basis).

After the event, I mentioned I had a few of the holiday products in my backpack and was delighted that she was down to swatch with me on the streets of New York 😄 These are swatches of the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lip Set.

MadhuV and I are ready to swatch any time, anywhere

This set is full of different shades so it's a great product to buy if you want to try the formula but also want to get gifts for others. Some for you some for everyone else, win win! Also that second red from the top screams holiday party - we were smitten.

Side note, @MyieshaBD knows everything there is to know about beauty and she is in love with this formula. I haven't taken the plunge on these lippies but I may have to give in now..

We both want the drunk elephant sets! I know I need a top up of DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum so I’m either going to grab DRUNK ELEPHANT - NightBright™ Duo or the new Investigator set I’ve been seeing that has the bigger size. I’m also eyeing the Briogeo set and the Drybar glitter set but I think I’ll hold off on the Glitter set until I’m finished my holiday shopping for my family and friends ☺️ I also love the Stila set that includes the highlighters and liquid shadows 😍

It will be hard to settle on a few reasonable purchases @itsfi!

Those are some great choices @bakeamuffin! I hear ya - there are already so many nice ones out there and there'll be more products coming out later in the year as well; it certainly does make it hard to decide what to get now. You can't go wrong with the DE - it's a staple in your skincare routine. That Stila set would make for a glam holiday season! ❤️ You and your BFF are going to have a blast! 🙂 Looking forward to seeing what you end up getting!

How fun! My daughter and I are looking forward to our local event tomorrow, barring flooding/road closures in our city - We’re thankfully not in the hurricane zone, but it’s been raining nonstop for the last 2 weeks.😢 Hope everyone on the east coast stays safe this weekend!

How could you RSVP for this event if you are not a VIBRouge? Did you get an email for the event and/or a confirmation? They did ask for your email address to confirm your eligibility so you might not be on the list of attendees. The store will ask to see either your Rouge card or your account when you are buying items during the preview. If they see that you are not a Rouge (or a guest of a Rouge), you might not be permitted to buy any of the preview items at this time. You should double check with the store that you made the reservation with or be prepared to be turned away.

I was told that they are checking Rouge cards at the door and if you aren't a Rouge or the guest of a Rouge you won't be allowed to enter. I would hope they will turn away non-Rouge. This is supposed to be a reward for spending thousands of dollars with Sephora every year, and it's shouldn't be open to people who don't qualify trying to scam their way in.

@Dottotrot we post about events pretty often. If you're here in Community you will see them pop up from time to time 🙂

There are a lot of in-store events that happen at multiple stores so I would look those up if you'd like to attend! We try to keep tabs on where community members are willing to travel to for events - where are you located?

I soooo wanted to attend the preview event at my local store on Saturday @KatieBT....but Saturday 😫....that’s impossible for a mom! There’s karate and tennis lessons and a birthday party...Saturday is the busiest day of the week for me!! Wish there was an alternate holiday viewing party day on a weekday morning for the stay-at-home mom crowd!!! I am excited to see anything festive and glittery and full of holiday cheer!
