Feedback Wanted: Team BIC’s 2024 Holiday Gratis Thread!

Happy Holidays, BIC! 🤍❄ We’re sending select members a token of our appreciation for their participation in the Beauty Insider Community all year round, and this thread is a place for recipients to share their unboxings! 🤗 It warmed our hearts to see how much you loved last year’s epic Community Faves-themed countdown, so this year we’re sticking with a similar format, while putting a new spin on the unboxing festivities…. with 10 Days of Trending Picks from Team BIC!

You may recognize some of these products being buzzed-about on social, or in rotation on our Trending at Sephora page. 🤳🔥 They may not be official Community Favorites just yet, but if you love what you try, you could very well skyrocket them into Sephora.com greatness by tagging them in your Forum posts or future Gallery looks! 🤩 

Similar to last year, recipients will have 10 Sephora products to unveil across 10 days … but you’re welcome to open on your own schedule (we won’t judge)! Though packages may arrive on varying schedules, they should all land before mid-December. While you’re free to begin unboxing your gratis as you wish when you receive it, we are challenging you to post photos and share your thoughts on each of the products according to the schedule below so we can all experience the magic together (starting with the gift labeled “Day 1”)! You can absolutely post product photos and reactions earlier if you like – we might just suggest hiding them behind a spoiler tab to make it easier for other recipients to avoid any unwanted sneak peeks at the surprises in future days ahead!

Congratulations @curlychiquita! I honestly didn't think it was gonna be a good shade for me either, but like everyone is saying here, it can be applied pretty sheer! Have fun experimenting and playing around with it! 😃

@curlychiquita Ouhhh!  I love your photo!  The snow gloves are so amazing!   They’re so pleasantly heavy and beautiful to play with!  
for the Saie - take a pin sized amount and mix it into a dab of your foundation on the back of your hand to neutralize the bright shade a bit if it’s feeling intimidating;).

@curlychiquita  I have this in another color and it can be sheared out!  The formula is good. And my cheeks are still a bit oily but the color stays on

@curlychiquita, it blends out / sheers out pretty easily, just be sure to only use a teeensy tiny bit to start. That swatch below was from my first use of it and more product than I need. It will blend out / sheer out to a less bold hue - easier to do that with taking out less product to start with. I hope it works out for you.

Day 3

Winter weather has been making its way to the Bay Area with cooler temps and windy days and nights 🌬, but this Day 3 beauty is definitely the kind of "Chilly" I can get behind @TeamBIC! 😉

It looks very vibrant in the slightly blended out swatch and it is richly pigmented and vibrant, but the color can be easily diffused. I tried it with a brush on one side of my face and my fingers on the other side. For myself, I preferred applying product from the tube to the back of my hand, blending the color out a bit with my fingers and loading a synthetic blush with color and stippling it onto my cheeks and gently blending to diffuse the color to an intensity I'm comfortable with.

@itsfi I definitely prefer applying liquid blushes with a brush!

@PrettyPaint, I've come to that realization as well. Creams generally work well for me with my fingers and/or beauty sponge. Liquids and powders are all about the brush. Are there certain brushes you like for applying your liquid blush?

Thank you @Shosh85! It's a beautiful shade. I was a little nervous at first with how pigmented it was but it reallly does blend easily and applies more sheerly on my face.
