Hello BIC,

Sephora Collection team is scouting their next great collaboration partner – and we want to hear from YOU!

Sephora Collection partners with other brands to co-create products that are new, unique and exciting. In the past, we have done broad range collaborations with high-fashion brands like Moschino and Mara Hoffman to childhood favorites like Minnie Mouse. We are now looking for a new partner to collaborate with!

Collaboration partners can be anything from brands and other retailers to influencers and celebrities. Ideal partners bring a fresh and creative point of view that emotionally resonates with our audience.

If you have an idea on who Sephora Collection should collaborate, post your idea in the comments!! We’d love to hear what you think.

This thread will close on October 11^th, so please do not hesitate! If your idea is chosen, we will reach out to you with next steps on how to bring it to life.

One of my dreams has been a Sephora x Sanrio collaboration. I’ve been a Sanrio lover since childhood so having makeup with my favorite characters on it would be a dream come true! ❤️

I know a Hello Kitty collection came out a few years back (I still have my palette) but it would be nice to have more characters included for a real collab.

A few ideas just popped into my head so..

Going off of Sephora's previous collabs with Disney: what about Hayao Miyazaki films? I would literally die.

Gudetama? A lot of brands have already done this but I feel like Sephora could be another brand that could do it well.

Waugh, I love Miyazaki films so much!! If there was Ghibli makeup, I don't know what I would do with myself... buy all the things, obviously. I would also be more upset than I would be for pretty much any other collab though, if a brand got the rights to make Miyazaki movie themed makeup and did a half-hearted job. Many of the Sephora Collection collabs thus far have been quite good, so I feel like they might be able to do the inspiration justice.

Maybe something where the proceeds can go towards ending cancer? Like a palette with lots of pinks for breast cancer, or a palette with ribbon shaped pans and each of the pans has a color eyeshadow that also represents a type of cancer. For example, pink would represent breast and gold for childhood cancer, etc. This would be cool because theres a lot of transition shades that could represent cancer and some bold shades, so theres a little bit for everyone. If not cancer, maybe something to help immigrants/refugees or gun safety!

I think we should show empowerment through everyday heroes and not just through Law Enforcement. We can have a police officer and a fire fighter in their light everyday look, but also show teachers, authors, parents, music directors, etc. Maybe talk the customers and find out who their heroes are to get a feel for the idea or display them around the store

The Sephora Collection x Disney collections c. 2013 or so were some of the best Sephora Collection collabs ever! The products were all great quality and the packaging was stunning-- the Ariel Storylook Palette is still one of my favourites, and to this day I still regret missing out on those gorgeous compact mirrors. I would love to see a return of this series!

@concreteroads I would LOVE for these to come back. I was an idiot and didn't get everything I wanted from those collections. Wish I had the Cinderella and Jasmine palettes and the Jasmine mirror. It was very well done. Those compact mirrors were beyond beautiful!

@veronika23 Completely agreed! I first got into makeup pretty much in 2013, so I completely missed the Jasmine and Cinderella collections. I would've LOVED that amazing Cinderella clock-themed compact mirror; the Ariel mirror was gorgeous as well.

Also there are some newer Disney princesses I adore, and whom I'd love to see get makeup collections-- Rapunzel from Tangled immediately jumps to mind, and I think Tangled as a movie just had such an incredibly gorgeous, romantic colour palette.

@concreteroads aw man! I have some pieces but if I would have known I would have bought it all... I remember seeing the Jasmine palette in store and almost buying it and I talked myself out of it... yeah big mistake 😄

I love this thread because just about every suggestion everyone has made so far is awesome but why has no one mentioned the POWER RANGERS! (The original not the crappy later editions) I want a pink ranger lipstick/gloss. Eyeshadow palettes with their names trini,zack, jason, billy, Kimberly and tommy 💕. A goldar highlighter. The putties, zordon, lord zedd include everybody. Cmon u all know u want to yell its MORPHIN TIME before u beat ur face.

Animals rescues, the humane society, or the ASPCA would be great to collaborate with. You could feature animal themed make up sets that are free of animal testing of course! I'm thinking cute dog compacts and cat themed eye liners!

@ajan3 I came to leave this exact suggestion. This is a sound cause to back in my opinion. Most people love animals and being able to back something positive and heartwarming while engaging in my hobby(makeup) seems like a stellar idea. There could be compacts with pugs on them if anyone is looking for specific ideas......just saying. 😉

Ever since I saw this posted, I've been dying to make a tongue-in-cheek suggestion of "Ulta!" and giggle away. 😋

But the more I think about it, a collaboration between the two beauty powerhouses in the country could be awesome...make it into a friendly competition with proceeds being donated to charity and the winner doing something silly like a full page ad with a goofy pic of some of the execs, or the loser conceding publicly to the winner's greatness, etc etc.

That would be fun to watch!

If you want to go with something In, JUSTICE LEAGUE is a fun idea, so many characters and possibilities.

If you want to go with a cause, A girls empowerment/education organization is something to consider.

For designer/brand Pandora Jewellery is a great option.

Packaging design collabs with various high-end car and/or nautical/ aeronautical designers, illustrators, engineers, etc. It’d be cool to feature designs created by people working in {dying} artisanal trades such as cobblers or lace designers. I’d love a break from the norm. Rather than trends, I’d love to see cosmetics shaped by those that have shaped the things around us. The perspectives could be highly unique.
