melasma

HI!can someone help me with a product for melasma, except h.quinone.i wear sunblock everyday that seems to be the only thing to keep them from getting darker..but i need a product to vanish them please!thank you!

Re: melasma

I highly suggest you trying Cytera must be purchased from a dermatologist. I didn’t buy the kit just the fading cream. Be aware it’s crazy expensive. I leave it on for 1-3 hours.

I also use Mario Badasceus Glycolic Acid cleanser.  You can buy it at Nordstrom or Sephora or Ulta.

It’s an exfoliating cleanser followed by using Vichy vitamin C . I leave it on while I get my coffee and do my makeup. Great quality and super cheap.

my Derm recommended either Isdin or Elta MD

Broad spectrum tinted once a week .

I use Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha  Beta peel. They’re on sales periodically at a Sephora and Ulta.
I use Caudelies glycolic cream as a night cream. It was highly recommended by a dermatologist.

hoping these suggestions help you,

I've been battling Melasma for years. The best solution if you can afford it is to save your money and get laser doen to remove the spots.

I use Waterbabies by Coppertone as it has a high level of Zinc Oxide and was recommended to me. I even use thius indoors during the day.

I also use Obaji Blender as well as a Retin A from Obaji thats slowly working every night. Purchased on Amazon.I love the cleanser by M2.

I just read that there's a new product called Elure thats supposed to work very well ,I have to check it out,but it can only be purchased by a Dermatologist.

Hoping this helps,

The only way to treat melasma is either with prescription creams such as Triluma or Retinol.  These are products that need to be used at night time every other night.  If you do not see a change within a couple of weeks, then the next step would be a chemical peel.  Either way, I suggest you see a good dermatologist as a starter.

Needless to say, you must use a sunscreen of 45+ at all time,  summer or winter, rain or shine.

Best of luck with your search   🙂
