Re: glamglow

Personally, I have sensitive, combination skin and it works great! I love this product, and just about all GLAMGLOW products. It takes a few minutes to absorb but it leaves your skin silky smooth, and I haven't had any breakouts on it. I would definitely give it a shot.

Re: glamglow

@chasity67 I actually own just about all of Glam Glow’s products and Waterburst was the one I liked the least. It did ‘just okay’ with moisturizing (I have dry skin) and smelled fine, but kind of left a filmy, sit-on-top-of-your-face feel. I also read a lot of reviews saying that this caused break outs -and I’m not surprised, because it feels pore-clogging. I bought the full size at a discount, but honestly wouldn’t re-purchase.

My favorite moisturizer they make is the Volcasmic Matte Glow Moisturizer. It smells fantastic, absorbs nicely in the skin, doesn’t feel too heavy and does great alone or under makeup. I’m actually going on my second container now 😉

@chasity67 It got 3/5 stars on beautypedia.com:

Spoiler

If you have normal to dry skin and want a moisturizer that delivers a super-smooth hydrated feel, it would seem that Waterburst Hydrated Glow Moisturizer fits the bill. Although it delivers excellent hydration, formulary and packaging issues should keep this one off your list.

The silky gel-cream texture glides over skin with ease, but the choice of jar packaging is unfortunate, because it won't keep the light- and air-sensitive ingredients this contains stable once opened.

Along with better packaging, this moisturizer would be better for skin if it didn't contain fragrance. What makes your nose happy isn't going to please your skin, and the more fragranced products you layer on, the greater the risk of irritation.

What about the claim of a "triple Hyaluronic Acid complex"? You might think that means the formula contains three types of hyaluronic acid, but the ingredient list only has one form, sodium hyaluronate. They could be referring to this moisturizer's other hydrating ingredients, but the "triple Hyaluronic Acid" name is certainly misleading!

Also misleading: The 72-hour (3 days) hydration claim. If this really hydrated for three full days, why does GlamGlow advise daily application? The truth is this moisturizer hydrates well but, as with all moisturizers, the effect dissipates within a day. See our list of Best Moisturizers for hydrators that have a formulary and packaging edge, including the omission of fragrance.

PROS:
  • Leaves skin feeling super-smooth and hydrated.
  • Easy application glides over skin.
CONS:
  • Despite claims, this only contains one type of hyaluronic acid.
  • Contains fragrance ingredients that pose a risk of irritation.
  • Jar packaging won't keep the plant ingredients stable once opened.
  • Questionable 72-hour hydration claims when you're directed to apply this daily.
