face sunscreen

What face sunscreen would you recommend from Sephora? I need something that won’t clog pores and could be used with a moisturizer or as a moisturizer

@colleen182 , I'd second the SUPERGOOP! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40that @WinglessOne recommended.  It's really almost described as a sunscreen/primer in one and you can read the reviews and see that A LOT of people really love it.

RE: face sunscreen

I really like the Clinique one! It’s creamy, not sticky, smooth, and has a nice light scent. Great under makeup

RE: face sunscreen

I was going to mention two faves - both unfortunately expensive. The Shiseido one mentioned above. When I first put it on I felt like, I’ve made a huge mistake, but it dries down very soft and silky. The Shiseido spf with ‘wetforce’ is a little less pore friendly, I’ll be honest, but it also has a very nice finish and lasts. It’s the kind of thing you want to really wash off at night but your skin will feel good throughout the day. With a similar finish, a little more matte, is the tatcha sunscreen. Silky, matte, pore-minimizing. I got it in a bundle, I’m not sure if I would have bought it on its own. I know tatcha isn’t technically j-beauty, but it’s worth noting Tokyo has notoriously humid summers. My skin isn’t acneic but who doesn’t need a little matte magic during the summer right? So I look to Shiseido and less-available j beauty brands for summer staples.

Re: face sunscreen

I recommend COOLA Sun Silk Face Sunscreen Drops with SPF 30 and Hyaluronic Acid 1 oz / 30 mL. It’s very lightweight, completely invisible, contains hyaluronic acid to help with moisturizing, and can be easily mixed with your moisturizer (and probably foundation, if you use any). A friend of mine often uses it as a moisturizer, which I haven’t tried; I always apply it atop a moisturizer. It doesn’t break me out or clog my pores. (For reference, I have combo skin.) It can sometimes feel a bit much for my oily nose, so I sometimes use a different sunscreen there (COOLA - Mineral Face SPF 30 - Matte Tint ).

Another one one that works well for me all over my face is SUPERGOOP! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40. I especially love using this under and above my eyes. I use this more often than Sun Silk Drops and haven’t experienced clogged pores, not even on the oil slick in the middle of my face.

@colleen182 I like the Shiseido Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42 1 oz/ 30 mLbecause it's so light, but it also has a ton of alcohol in it and it does leave a cast. On amazon I got one from Biore for about $12 that's been working well and is super light weight over my daily moisturizer with minimal cast but I'm still on the look for the "one" since I don't like the film all sunscreens seem to leave on me
