Youth To The People?

Hi everyone, I am wanting to try Youth To The People products and I wanted to know if you have tried and if you like it?

Re: Youth To The People?

Yep. For reference, I have combo skin: oily nose, kinda normal forehead, and dry everywhere else.

My complaint about all YTTP products is the clear glass containers. These products contain great antioxidants that are sensitive to light and air. I’ve bought new opaque and semi-opaque airless pump bottles and jars to house them in, and I’ve covered most of the semi-opaque bottles with my own labels to further block light. Otherwise, I’d have to store all my YTTP products (in their original glass containers) in a drawer, away from direct light—and that wouldn’t help the jarred items much, which get air exposure each time they’re opened.

Here are the products I’ve tried so far:

Youth To The People Superfood Gentle Antioxidant Refillable Cleanser 8 oz / 237 ml  - Too drying for me. I tried a sample last year and didn’t like it. Tried the mini size this year: first couple of uses were okay, but the third and fourth made my skin too tight and flakey.

Youth To The People Superfood Firm and Brighten Vitamin C Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL  - 👍 Been testing it for about 3 weeks. So far, it’s not causing a terrible reaction. It absorbs very quickly (my skin soaks it right up) and it does seem to be brightening up my dull patches. I just wish it cost less.

Youth To The People Superfood Air-Whip Lightweight Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid 2 oz / 59 mL  - 💚 LOVE this stuff. It’s my day and night moisturizer. Last winter, I used it mostly at night because it wasn’t quite enough for my face’s dry areas during frigid days. But once daytime temps rose above 30ºF, this moisturizer was great. Next winter, I’ll try pairing it with the next YTTP product on my list for a moisturization boost during the day.

Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Oil with Squalane and Antioxidants 1 oz / 30 ml  - 💚 Makes my dry skin super soft and glowy. I’ve used it a few times as my daytime moisturizer (instead of the Superfood cream) and that worked nicely, though I should use the cream instead on my nose. A little of this oil goes a very long way!

Re: Youth To The People?

@carlygo @WinglessOne Definitely agree about the oxidation, the masks especially always looks super gross and bleached in the store testers that sit under the light all day, which makes them look super unappealing to customers too. I just feel like there should definitely be a better way to do that

Re: Youth To The People?

@carlygo I've tried the Youth To The People Superfood Air-Whip Lightweight Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid 2 oz / 59 mL and it is my current go- to daily moisturizer- I'm on my third jar now. It is super lightweight, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin bouncy and soft! It's a little too light for winter, but since I've gotten in to facial oils lately that's actually a plus for me. I would say it performs similarly to my previous HG the Origins ginzing- but I switched to this because it's a more indie brand and they're cruelty free.

I got the Youth To The People Adaptogen Deep Moisturizing Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi Mushroom 2 / 59  in my Play! box and it is super smooth and creamy (it reminds me of a soft-serve coffee ice cream). It's a little heavier than the superfood whip, but still pretty light and perfect for nighttime use for me. After I use up my Biossance Omega (which is also amazing) I might switch to this. Again, a touch on the light side if you have drier skin- but perfect for layering oils over if that's the case.

I also tried the Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Night Cream + Mask with Vitamin C 2 oz / 59 ml and while I get why people like it I was pretty meh for me. It's best use for me is as a wash-off (I leave it on for 30 minutes) when I need a little boost because I generally don't like forgoing my usual nightly routine in favor of a sleeping mask. I got it with my $100 reward so I'll use it up but I wouldn't re-purchase. It is, however, super soothing on sunburns but again I wouldn't buy it for that purpose

Youth To The People?

I love their Super Food Cleanser, it feels nice, cleans well and doesn't dry my face out. The Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask is so great for my very dry skin.

Re: Youth To The People?

@carlygo hey! ive tried several YTTP products and have found them to be really great! i have combo-oily skin that is really reactive and sensitive. one of the best products from the line (in my opinion), which i have repurchased and will completely recommend is the Youth To The People Superfood Air-Whip Lightweight Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid 2 oz / 59 mL .the ingredients are great, plus it doesnt irritate my skin or cause breakouts. it has a light scent, kind of like a green juice smell (probably because of the spinach, kale and spirulina). the moisturizer absorbs really quickly and my face feels bright and hydrated. i like this moisturizer in the fall or spring, when the temperatures and weather are more moderate. i need something a little heavier in the winter because i go more combo-dry, but its a fantastic lightweight moisturizer. it definitely keeps up with my staple HG OLEHENRIKSEN - Sheer Transformation® Perfecting Moisturizer

Re: Youth To The People?

Hi @carlygo,

I love Youth to The People products because they're a clean brand good for your skin ingredients like kale and spinach. My favorite product is the Youth To The People Superfood Skin Reset Antioxidant Mask 2 oz/ 59 mL

This mask makes my skin smoother, softer and brighter in 15 minutes. I use it as a morning mask if I have a somewhere nice to go and want my skin to look extra glowy.

Stay Gorgeous,

Penelope
