White Stretch Marks

I've had stretch marks on my hips and butt since I was 15 (now 22). I've been using BioRad serum intermittently to fade them, and I think it's helped a bit. I don't like how oily the formula is and I feel like it doesn't absorb into my skin. Is there anything else that I can do to fix this? I drink around 1000 mL of water every day and run and do a quick elliptical workout. Are there any vitamins/products/rollerballs (I really have no idea if that would help) that can help to fade them? Thanks!

Re: White Stretch Marks

The best solution would probably be to use aloe vera! It should work in a matter of a few days. Hope this helps!

Re: White Stretch Marks

@gingerjennie~ Sorry you have stretch marks that are bothering you. TBH, I have them in the same places! (Plus a couple other places too, haha) It certainly depends on the type of skin you have, what works and what doesn't, but I can attest to trying a myriad of creams, liquids, and treatments to find them only helping slightly at best... My highest recommendation for your next step, as @Trapcat had mentioned, is to see a medical professional. I'd propose firstly visiting with a Dermatologist to get an assessment and discuss your options. Stretch marks are difficult to get rid of but the good news is that our technology and methods are constantly improving in ways to treat them! Additionally, please give Dr. Jart+'s Ceramidin Cream a try. It may seem a little strange, as it's not advertised for this type of use, but I applied it for a week in place of my original stretch mark healing cream (I was out of town and forgot to pack it) and actually noticed a visible difference! It may just be plumping the skin and filling out the marks, but the appearance improved enough for me to continue using it. Again, everyone is different so results may vary, haha. LASTLY.... Stretch marks or no, do not forget that you are beautiful just the way your are! Be proud, own it and flaunt it!

P.S. ~ Definitely get that massage that @Anonymous proposed. A good massage can help any situation!

Re: White Stretch Marks

Thank you! I'll definitely give it a try! I've heard really nice things about Dr. Jart's skincare, so this is the perfect excuse to give it a whirl 🙂 I'll be sure to post back with results/comments!

White Stretch Marks

Best to opt for laser and stop spending money now. You could spend 5000$ on expensive creams over the next 5 years and see little or even no effects or go to a plastic surgeons office that offers stretch mark laser therapy, spend about 1000-2000 and be done with the issue forever.

Re: White Stretch Marks

Thanks for your comment! I know, I really should see a dermatologist and get a professional opinion! My friend always says "remember, you're not ugly, you're just poor" and I think it's really appropriate for this dilemma 😉 I haven't been bothered with my stretch marks for years, but I'm making big lifestyle changes (exercising more and going vegan) with my boyfriend and our progress has motivated me to tackle this too. I'll definitely look into laser treatments!

Probably mobilisation techniques, Id look up how to reduce scar tissue. Also if you're willing to spend some money, some spas offer this treatment which you can get as a package or during holiday sales.
