Which mask set should I get?

I want to buy a mask set for a friend (she is 31) and am thinking of either the Peter Thomas Roth Meet Your Mask set or the Sephora Collections Face Mask Magic set. I haven't used many masks myself so I don't have enough experience to make a good choice. Which one would you get, and why? Many thanks for your help!

Re: Which mask set should I get?

Thanks everyone for all the help. Based on all the replies, I think I'll go with the PTR - it hits my price point exactly, and also looks like a nice gift. I ordered the Caudalie one as well, but I might just keep that for myself. Then, I'll have a better idea for next year!

Re: Which mask set should I get?

You made a great choice! I love the PTR masks- especially the cucumber and pumpkin ones. The only one I don't particularly love is the gold one, but all of them are different.

RE: Which mask set should I get?

Hey Elthom! I have a ton of experience with masks. Does your friend have sensitive skin? I’m 29 with sensitive skin and the PTR ($25 set) was one of my first. It’s a brilliant gift if you don’t know what kind of skin she has The pumpkin and the cucumber are my favs! I also recommend the Fresh Rose mini mask jar ($25). It’s super calming and leaves your skin nice and soft. I hope this helps a bit! I have gifted both to friends and they love them! I hope this helps a bit :3

Re: Which mask set should I get?

I would recommend the Peter Thomas Roth set. There are masks for different purposes and I found it fun try. As much as I love Caudalie, their masks have been disappointing as I never really saw a difference after using them.

RE: Re: Which mask set should I get?

It depends on many factors I guess. To me it’s the other way around. PTR has done nothing for me, but Caudilie makes a significant difference. That being said I think I’m done with PTR products period. Some are ok, but I could literally name 15 brands at the top of my head that work much better for me.

RE: Re: Which mask set should I get?

Agreed the Ptr mask sampler set is a great gift!

Re: Which mask set should I get?

Thanks for all the info! Unfortunately the $90 is way outside my budget (we spend only $25-$30 on each other) but I will take a look at the Caudalie mini mask set. They all claim to be the best thing ever, so it is hard to sort out the fact from the fiction. Thanks for your help.

RE: Which mask set should I get?

I am addicted to masks and tried almost everything. I would highly recommend Caudilie masks set (3).

RE: Which mask set should I get?

Peter Thomas Roth maskaholic set the 92$ (CAD) one. This has a variety of masks for different skin concerns. You have one for if you had breakouts, one for textured skin (pumpkin enzyme helps with reducing that), cucumber mask for the stressful days you just want to relax and if you have any inflammation this helps calm it. There is a mask for helping with firmness and another for helping with making your skin glow. Hope that helps

RE: Which mask set should I get?

Dont get the peter thomas set. I got it and it didn’t do anything for me. Maybe get the fresh masks, they are great.

Re: Which mask set should I get?

I haven't use the Peter Thomas Roth.. but my advice is NOT to buy sephora brand mask. Recently I bought sephora brand mask ( probably because the packaging is cute). When I used it, I remember all of the times when I buy sephora brand anything and almost always regret it ( except for brushes). For the most part, sephora brand is cheaper, and so is the quality. ( unless your friend doesn't know anything about skincare, then probably it won't matter)
