When to add sunscreen?

Hello everyone! Right now, I only use sunscreen on my face. I’m starting a new, morning skincare regimen in which I’ll be using a face wash, essence, serum, moisturizer, and eye cream. My job requires lots of driving so I try and protect myself by using a sunscreen, but I don’t know at which point of my new skincare regimen I should incorporate the sunscreen. Can anyone please enlighten me?

Thank you all for you advice! My new skincare regimen will be SK-II, and I’ll be using the really watery facial sunscreen by Shiseido since SK-II does not have their own sunscreen (unless I missed it?). Again, thank you!

Hi @GeneralSherman,

Sunscreen is an essential part of any good skincare routine. To save time, look for a moisturizer that has SPF in it, so you don't have to use two separate products. I really like JOSIE MARAN - Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47.

I normally apply sunscreen right before the moisturizer. Using moisturizer as the last step helps to smooth out the white cast from the sunscreen.

@Anonymous I apply sunscreen as the last step of my skincare routine in the morning.

Typically thinnest to thickest constancy. Spf after eye cream/moisturizer. Depending on the cleanser and the spf's formula, you may need an oil based cleanser first, to break it down, then regular cleanser to cleanse and remove the last bits of spf. Also with driving, cover your arms and hands, windows only block so much sun rays.
