What are the tiny bumps on my forehead?

I am wondering if anyone knows what product to use to diminish or get rid of these bumps. (They are mainly on my forehead but some on my nose) I noticed that these bumps are not pimples or black heads so I donโ€™t know how to treat them!

@meganbear18  I get those all the time. I use THE ORDINARY - Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% and alternate with DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboosโ„ข Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum and it seems to clear it up. You can get DRUNK ELEPHANT - NightBrightโ„ข Resurfacing Duo itโ€™s cheaper to try it out if you donโ€™t want the big container!

Re: What are the tiny bumps on my forehead?

Hi @meganbear18. The bumps are likely trapped sebum. I had something similar on my chin for a while, and finally cleared them up about 2 years ago. I have oily/combo skin, and realized I was using an extremely stripping, foaming cleansers, which trapped sebum underneath my skin. I switched to the REN CLEAN SKINCARE - ClearCalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser and have seen great results. Another thing that helped me was chemical exfoliation. For everyday, I like the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads, which are extremely gentle, if you're starting out. I like to alternate with tarte Knockout Tingle Treatment Toner 5 oz/ 150 mL as a stronger option. These really help to clear out the pores and smooth texture. Once a week, I'll use the Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacialโ„ข AHA + BHA Mask 1.69 oz/ 50 mL . I also like the DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboosโ„ข Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum for everyday. I'd also make sure that the moisturizer step isn't too heavy, I currently use the CLARINS - Lotus Face Treatment Oil as my moisturizer every night. A Clarisonic might also be helpful. If some spots are still stubbornly lingering, I extract them with a blackhead tool or my fingers and tissues, very carefully.

Also, be sure your makeup isn't the cause - I noticed results after I switched from liquid to mineral foundation. Revlon Colorstay was what triggered the texture on my chin that lasted for years. After switching to mineral foundation and using chemical exfoliants, the texture cleared up.

I hope this helps, and please reach out if you have further questions! Happy New Year!
