Vitamin C - Help!

I am slowly but surely starting to step up my skincare routine! For reference my skin is combination (oily t-zone and quite dry on my cheeks and mouth). I am using Tatcha Water cream on my oily areas and Cetaphil with Hyaluronic acid on my dry areas. I am also using the Youth to the People facial cleanser. Now I am looking at adding a vitamin c serum into my routine! What are your thoughts and what has worked best for you?!

Re: Vitamin C - Help!

@mazzkm I also like Farmacy cherry bright vitamin c serum. It smells amazing and is also very moisturizing.

RE: Vitamin C - Help!

Vitamin C serums should really be purchased from a medical skin care brand. You want a high dose and the right formulation form it to be working right. Something you will not find from Sephora. Vivier Skin has an amazing one and so does Skin Medica and Zo skin health.

Re: Vitamin C - Help!

@mazzkm  My favorite is DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma™ Vitamin C Day Serum. I also like FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry

Re: Vitamin C - Help!

Thanks for the advice! I just bought the sample size of the Drunk Elephant C-Firma with the B-Hydra!

Re: Vitamin C - Help!

how is it? I m thinking to purchase today.

Re: Vitamin C - Help!

I LOVE FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry @mazzkm

Re: Vitamin C - Help!

@mazzkm @I love these

TATCHA - Violet-C Brightening Serum 20% Vitamin C + 10% AHA

DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma™ Vitamin C Day Serum

KORA ORGANICS - Noni Bright Vitamin C Serum

Re: Vitamin C - Help!

@mazzkm I've had great results with TATCHA - Violet-C Brightening Serum 20% Vitamin C + 10% AHA, Sunday Riley C.E.O Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil 15 ml/0.5 oz, and Summer Fridays CC Me Vitamin C + Niacinamide Serum 1.0 oz/ 30 mL.  All brightened my skin, but the textures/consistency are very different.  Tatcha is a bit watery, so might be good for oily skin types. Sunday Riley oil may work well for dry skin types. And Summer Fridays is like a milky gel, which I really like.

Vitamin C - Help!

For something like vitamin C most options are pretty expensive. From experience, Drunk Elephant C-Firma works best for sun spots and acne scars, while The Inkey List Q10 is best for glowyness! (Q10 acts similar to vitamin c, but is more gentle imo)

Re: Vitamin C - Help!

@mazzkm  My top 2 favs are TATCHA - Violet-C Brightening Serum 20% Vitamin C + 10% AHA and FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry both work well!!

RE: Re: Vitamin C - Help!

Thank you for the help! I was definitely looking at the Tatcha serum as I do like their cream and cleanser!
