I heard Tower 28 smells like chlorine...is that good or bad for your face? Because I swim in the summer all of the time and nothing bad has happened to my face...so is it safe or not safe?

@Graciegworllll3  Tower 28’s SOS Spray contains hypochlorous acid. This ingredient doesn’t smell like swimming pool water. But when you spray hypochlorous acid on a surface—your skin, a kitchen counter, etc.—a chemical reaction creates chloramines. The pool water smell comes from chloramines. There’s nothing dangerous about it. 

By the way, the same is true for chlorine which also doesn’t smell like pool water. It’s chloramines that cause that smell. 

I call hypochlorous acid “the anti-everything ingredient” because it’s anti-bacterial, fungal, viral, and infammatory. It’s a good skin soother and disinfectant. It can clean wounds and non-porous surfaces. It kills bacteria and viruses, including flu and covid-19 viruses. I often use it as a hand sanitizer instead of alcohol-based hand sanitizers because it doesn’t dry the heck outta my skin. I don’t use Tower 28’s though, because it’s overpriced. Instead, I use SkinSmart Antimicrobial Wound Therapy which costs much less per ounce. And there are several other brands of inexpensive hypochlorous acid sprays on the market.

I have the tower 28 and at first I broke out cause I used at camp, but I kept using it and it actually works. I think that one time was because I was at camp. btw it does smell like chlorine but u heard the mini one doesn’t so yeah.
