Toners

I am wanting to try a new toner. I am wondering what the best would be for dry, combination skin? I have tried Fresh with the rose Petals and it left little bumps on my chin and forehead. Any recommendations would help! Thank you 🖤

Re: Toners

I have combo oily skin and love the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner ! it doesn't strip your skin or leave a film on it either! I also love that its clean skincare. It does a great job of exfoliating, which will help get rid of the comedones.

Re: Toners

@hforeman  I have mostly dry combo skin with an oily nose area. Last month I began testing e.l.f. Hydrating Water Essence and my skin loves it so much, it’s replaced 2 other skincare products in my usual routine (Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner and May Coop Raw Sauce essence). I use it as a toner/essence combo.

It contains glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, and trehalose, which are good hydrating/moisturizing ingredients for dry skin. It also contains niacinamide and coffee extract, 2 good ingredients for any skin type (barring any sensitivity issues, of course). It does contain a berry-like fragrance that’s not very strong and dissipates quickly. It’s listed as the last ingredient but I feel obligated to mention it, in case your skin’s sensitive to fragrance. Here’s the full ingredient list:

Spoiler
Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Trehalose, Niacinamide, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Extract, Cyclodextrin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium PCA, Urea, Polyquatemium-51, Triacetin, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Coceth-7, PPG-1-PEG-9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium EDTA, Xanthum Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance (Parfum)

Bonus points for being inexpensive. :)Bonus points for being inexpensive. 🙂

Re: Toners

I agree with @Polly91.

It’s not sold at Sephora, it’s actually at a lot of drugstores. I get mine from Target. It’s only around 10 bucks, you get enough product to last a couple months and it not only gets the job done as in removing excess dirt and makeup your cleanser may not have, but it has really made a huge difference in my complexion overall. I get random pimples here and there from stress, which no matter what that’s unavoidable but I notice that since I’ve incorporated this toner they aren’t as bad. They aren’t as red or painful, they go away A LOT quicker and the scarring is minimal. My face always feels suuuper clean and refreshed after use, not to mention hydrated instead of dry. I have used the rose one and loved it but I am currently hooked on the lavender one. It gives the same results with an added slight “cooling” sensation. It’s soothing and it’s nice especially after washing off a rough day. My skin is pretty normal with the occasional breakout but it used to be very dry especially during the winter time. I’m all for the nice luxury products, I love the Fresh rose petal one but I always go back to Thayers. It doesn’t burn either, and it’s alcohol free which makes it even better. 😊
