The Ordinary

I see Beautylish no longer sells The Ordinary but Sephora does. Is Sephora going to end up carrying the whole Ordinary line or just a few items? What’s on the website now isn’t HALF of The Ordinary’s line.

Re: The Ordinary

Hi @Bluepoppy85 , @EsinaJ , @TrysBeautyItems ,

Hi Guys, I have been interested in The Ordinary line as well, I have a guess as to one reason that they sell some products, but not all.

My theory is that competing brands, especially those who are more exclusively at Sephora, don’t want a brand on the Site that sells the same product for 10% of the price of their products, it also doesn’t make good business sense for Sephora.

One example is Virgin Marula Oil, Drunk Elephant sells theirs on Sephora for $50/15 ml & $90/30 ml, The Ordinary sells their Virgin Marula Oil For $9.80 approximately.

In fact when I was researching beauty lines, I came across an article that apparently The Ordinary had thrown “Shade” at Drunk Elephant.

Just for the record first, I Love and use Drunk Elephant products, just giving you the information.

Search - The Ordinary Calls Out Drunk Elephant, it will come up and the article is by Allure.

“The Ordinary Just Threw Shade at Drunk Elephant, Making This the Most Random Feud of 2018”

The owner of “The Ordinary and NIOD, had slyly fired shots at skin-care brand Drunk Elephant in a social media advertisement.  “”One would have to be drunk to overpay for Marula””, the ad read.”  Then explains Drunk Elephant fans were upset about “a seemingly uncalled-of “attack”.

These kind of reasons are my best bet.

❤️‘S, SuzieQ.

Hi @Bluepoppy85,

At this time, we do not have any information regarding this. We recommend staying tuned and continuing to check your email notifications for the latest information on products and promotions. Thank you!

Best,
Rebecca

Re: The Ordinary

It's most likely due to contracts. They don't have the full brand of a few others too, like Mario Badescu.
