Textured Skin

It is not acne. It's like clogged pores. It's not that visible, but whenever I put foundation on it, it starts to get cakey, and you can see that my bumps on my face are visible (it's between my eyes, in my nose bridge part, and below all the way on my nose). Even though I put on moisturizer and sunscreen, it didn't work. I even tried to go straight to the foundation, and it still didn't work.

I had this flaky skin on the edge of my lip, and it's starting to get flaky whenever it's cold. Even if I moisturize it, it doesn't disappear.

This is my routine:

I had a facial wash, and it has salicylic acid on it, but I'm only using it every time I remove my makeup, and I'm not using makeup every day.

My skin type is combination (oily & dry). I also have visible pores. Can someone help me with what to do? Can I also request what skincare and makeup I should use?

Re: Textured Skin

The congestion and cakiness you're describing around the nose bridge area is classic texture from keratin buildup in pores rather than active acne, and using your salicylic acid cleanser more consistently every day rather than only on makeup days would make a noticeable difference since BHA needs regular use to keep those pores clear, and for the flaky lip area a dedicated lip balm with occlusive ingredients like petrolatum or shea applied overnight will do more than regular moisturizer since that skin is too thin and fragile to respond well to standard face products.

Re: Textured Skin

Gentle exfoliation and better hydration may help smooth those clogged-looking bumps. A mild BHA a few times weekly plus a lightweight moisturizer can improve texture and help foundation sit better. I also checked Luminance Milano reviews on PissedConsumer—people share skincare experiences and products focused on improving skin texture and balance.

Re: Textured Skin

If texture is showing, might be worthwhile to double check your skin prep @Luwiviton .  For oily combo, ( 🖐🏽and I have texture), too much product usually emphasizes the pores, especially if the skin starts producing more oil.  Something that has slip like Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Mattifying Water Powder Serum with Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid... can be useful, but it really depends on your prep 9/10

As far as the flaky skin, you can try lightly exfoliating and then using a lip primer and seeing if that helps, but sometimes there can be other factors like temperature, humidity (out lack thereof), even diet
