Tatcha face mask vs Tatcha Water Cream

Just tried the tatcha face mask an loved it ! If I invest in the water cream , would it give me the same results ? 🤔

Re: Tatcha face mask vs Tatcha Water Cream

Here’s my full take on the Water Cream, as someone who has gone through multiple jars now:

I am 35 and my skin type is dry, with normal beginning-aging concerns. That said, the Water Cream isn’t actually suitable for my skin type...however where I included it in my routine made it work reasonably.

It has a very unusual consistency compared to most face creams. It isn’t thick and rich like Tatcha’s Indigo Cream, it isn’t as gel-like in consistency like some the more k-beauty style gel- creams (Laneige or Belif), but the k-beauty creams are the ones it is most like.

The texture is different from most most products I have tried, it isn’t suitable for my dry skin type alone, I use it as a first moisturizer in my night routine, covering with either a thicker cream or a sleep mask. In my daytime routine, I put it on after my other skincare and before Tatcha’s Silk Canvas primer. I also enjoy using this cream on my neck area, and my skin in the summer seems more agreeable with it as a primary moisturizer in the day.

If you have oily or normal skin, this will likely be a perfect primary moisturizer for you. If you have dry skin, the only uses you’ll get out of it are the two I use it for.

Unless you are looking to incorporate it as a first cream for extra hydration, I would say to get a moisturizer from their line that you know will work for your skin type. I only used it in the way I did because I had two jars of it to do something with. Now, I purchase their Essence as a proper Essence and I use the Indigo Cream as my proper moisturizer.

Hope that helps!

Re: Tatcha face mask vs Tatcha Water Cream

I haven't gotten to try the face mask, but the water cream has changed my skin for the better. It is super hydrating without making your skin feel sticky or feel like there is something heavy. It is also cooling, and you can use it with almost any type of primer before you put on makeup. I also have noticed that it also gives me a slight glow after I put it on. Also, the water cream lasts a long time, a little goes a long way.
