Sunday Riley luna

Do I need to use a nighttime moisturizer after using Sunday Riley luna? The Sephora lady said I do not need (that it acts as a moisturizer also) but ive read a lot online that you still do need a moisturizer after using an oil at nighttime. It helps to lock the oil in place on your skin, makes the oil work more effectively, etc. Is the Luna oil enough to work as a moisturizer as well... Thank you!!!!

Sunday Riley luna

I agree with the others, it depends on your skin type and how it reacts to Luna. I use Luna after I cleanse my skin and apply essence. I then use Good Genes after Luna every night, since I don't find Luna is enough for my skin overnight. A few nights a week I add a mask into the mix before I use Luna. if you don't want to use Good Genes, and you find Luna isn't enough to hydrate your skin overnight then you can try using a moisturizer that you like. If you find Luna to be moisturizing on its own, then don't add what your skin doesn't need.

Re: Sunday Riley luna

I personally don’t find Luna to be moisturizing enough to skip a moisturizer @AshJen88. I like to give it 10 minutes or so to absorb and then I’ll follow up with a moisturizer. It really does depend on your skin type, try it without it and if your skin begins to feel dry add some moisturizer 😊 Good luck!

Hi @AshJen88

I think it really depends on what your skin needs. For me, I usually use Luna on its own during spring/summer and might add a moisturizer during fall/winter. 🙂 I say try it both ways and see what you like best!

All my best, Megan
