Spot acne treatment

Hello! I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good acne spot treatment?! Also in the market for a new toner! Thank you!

RE: Spot acne treatment

I love the peace out acne healing dots. However, if you have a LOT of spots to treat then it’s not financially responsible because you’ll go through them super fast. Caudalie vinopure serum is also great for me. Both products have salicylic acid but arent super drying.

Re: Spot acne treatment

I'll sometimes use benzoyl peroxide if I have a spot that is really big and I need it cleared out quickly. If I have more time, I'll use Cosrx Acene Pimple Master Pouch overnight.

Re: Spot acne treatment

The only thing I use anymore is EradiKate by Kate Sommerville a little dab at night helps shrink regular blemishes, but cystic pimples not so much.

Re: Spot acne treatment

@AdiBeauty22 PEACE OUT - Acne Healing Dotsare great for spot treating

RE: Spot acne treatment

the fresh umbarian clay mask is such a good spot treatment!! I just dab a little on my spots before sleeping and wait for it to dry and the spot is sooooooo much better in the morning, def worth it

RE: Spot acne treatment

For white heads or other pimples I either like origins super spot remover or Mario badescu drying lotion. For larger more painful pimples Mario badescu buffering lotion is amazing

Re: Spot acne treatment

@Anonymous  another vote for the Clinique gel. Best spot treatment I've ever used. It's serious stuff.

Re: Spot acne treatment

Hi @Anonymous,

I really like OleHenriksen Glow 2 OH Toner. I always recommend it to folks who have dark spots and hyperpigmentation like me. It's best to use it at night but if you apply it in the morning be sure to use sunscreen. I hope that this helps! 🙂

Best,

Zakiya

RE: Spot acne treatment

Toner- try the COSRX AHA/BHA clarifying toner. I don’t think Sephora sells this brand but you could get it at Ulta. It’s a Korean skincare brand and it is great I think this could really help with your acne. As for spa treatment I just got a sample of the Eradikate from Kate Somerville. It has worked really good on little pimples I get here & there and I think it’s a much better alternative than other popular products like the Mario Badescu spot treatment.

Re: Spot acne treatment

I’ve heard that the Acropass Trouble Cure Patch is really good, as it has micro needles that allow the ingredients to better penetrate the skin. Looking forward to try!

Re: Spot acne treatment

Hi @AdiBeauty22, for acne spot treatments, I've found good results from using one of the following treatments/masks and the PEACE OUT - Acne Healing Dots:

GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD® Activated Charcoal Treatment Mini

Origins Mini Clear Improvement™ Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pore 1 oz/ 30 mL

SUNDAY RILEY - Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask

The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Masque Clarifying Charcoal & Clay Mask for Blemish Prone Skin 1.7 oz/ 50 mL

CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions™ Clinical Clearing Gel

For toners, you might be interested in the following depending on your skin type:

Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner

Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

OLEHENRIKSEN Balancing Force™ Oil Control Toner 6.5 oz/ 193 mL - good for oily and/or acneic skin

Avene Gentle Toning Lotion

LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer - it's a hybrid toner and moisturizer in one, is gentle and good for dry skin

Re: Spot acne treatment

The Clinique gel is my absolute go-to, @Anonymous and similar to the Peace Out, I'd also recommend CosRx acne patches, which are great for spots that are coming to or have already come to a head.

Re: Spot acne treatment

Hi @AdiBeauty22 ! In addition to applying a Paula’s Choice Clear BHA exfoliating liquid on my entire face, I sometimes spot treat with either PEACE OUT - Acne Healing Dots or Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Gel Exfoliant. I don’t like using the gel on my whole face, but its texture is good for spot treating. You could also try pretty much any drugstore spot treatment product that contains benzoyl peroxide. (I’m allergic to BP so I can’t recommend one I’ve actually used.)

Toner recommendations depend on your skin type. I’ve been testing a Paula’s Choice toner with good results. Paula’s Choice has lots of toners designed for different skin types and goals, so you may want to see what’s available there. I have mostly dry combo skin that likes hydrating toners, so I often use elf Hydrating Water Essence as a toner/essence hybrid in the morning.
