Slugging!?

If you don't know what slugging is, it is when you put a thin layer of vaseline after your nighttime skincare routine. But, I have combination skin and this is meant for dry skin. If I want to try this any recommendations on what I should do?

@YourFavAlways I did not know this had a name or that other people did it too! It was just something I did in the winter when things got drier or if I needed some extra help recovering from an eczema flare up. 

I second what @itsfi mentioned already and focusing on the parts that tend to dry out.

@YourFavAlways, does your combination skin include parts where you are dry? Or normal? If so, I might recommend that you try slugging on those parts of your face. 

My skin is dry in the cooler season and leans more combo in the summer (oily nose and chin, dry cheeks and normal forehead). I’ve tried slugging (with Aquqphor) a couple of times, but when my skin is combo, I only apply the Aquaphor on my cheeks (dry) and forehead (normal).
