Re: Skincare fridge

@sbm11911  Both retinol and Vitamin C are best stored in a cool area out of sunlight.  Light and heat will degrade the active ingredients.  That being said, a closed cupboard is both dark and cool enough to keep your products in good shape long enough to get through the bottle with daily use.  If you happen to have multiple products with these active ingredients open at any given time refrigerating them could extend their life a little.
The little fridges are cute and are great in the summer to store sheet masks and body lotions but they’re not completely necessary.  I would consider them a little luxury in your beauty area that makes you smile more than a necessity.

Re: Skincare fridge

It depends, @sbm11911 . If you want your products cool just pop em in your regular fridge a little while before starting your skincare. If you're like me and doing that would make you forget about the products in your fridge, maybe a smaller closer fridge could help. I don't like cold things, so for me, it's not ideal, and it's certainly not necessary for your skincare to work. But if you've got the $ and space and want something close to keep your skincare cool, a skincare fridge or mini fridge could be nice.

Re: Skincare fridge

Hi! Isn’t better for the product? I heard that retinol and others should be in the fridge

Re: Skincare fridge

Products are designed to work for the period after opening (POA) and stored according to the instructions on the packaging. The POA is the little open container with a number in months. Potentially you could extend the life of some products by keeping them in a fridge, but it isn't necessarily better unless the product has specifically been formulated to be stored at fridge temperatures, @roxannedaviau . If something says store in a cool dry place, it typically means not in a bathroom where warm/hot showers running can contribute to faster degradation of a product, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they require a fridge.
