Skincare Routine

Can someone help me with a skincare routine? I want healthy glowing skin but really am not sure where to begin with a skin routine and what I should use.

I have sensitive combination skin, it’s more on the dry side during the winter. I am also acne prone and have semi large pores. I can be a little red at times.

Someone please help 😔

Re: Skincare Routine

I have the same problems! I have red skin most of the time and break out whenever I scratch or touch my face. my skin isn’t combination however it’s dry, but heres my routine.

morning:

la roche posay hydrating cleanser

FAB ultra repair cream (or cerave moisturizing lotion)

cosrx snail mucin essence (for extra glow and softness not important)

Q10 serum by the inkey list (for anti-aging not important)

Cerave tinted hydrating sunscreen

night:

Same cleanser

same moisturizer

cerave renewing retinol (for anti-aging and acne combat)

azelaic acid suspension 10% (for acne and redness combat i use it in the morning sometimes)

and i use the paulas choice exfoliate but a good alternative is the ordinary glycolic acid!

Re: Skincare Routine

Thanks for you’re routine, I’ll take a look at your products.

Re: Skincare Routine

I would check out Either Beauty Within, or Dr. Dray on youtube, they are great resources to learn a lot from when it comes to skincare.

You will need to double cleanse if you were makeup, Iunik or Purito have great oil cleansers that are super cheap so I would check them out but after you use an oil-based cleanser you would go in with a water-based one.

First Aid Beauty's Cleanser is an amazing and great option for both sensitive and acne-prone skin types, a little goes a long way its 21$ so a little expensive but it is definitely worth it.

Since you deal with both sensitive and acne-prone skin  You would probably love the Pauls Choice BHA tonic, its in a black bottle, and works wonders on both pores as well as acne.

In the winter you would probably love the purrito unscented Centella buffet serum, it helps to calm as well as provide ingredients to help your skin barrier.

Next, a moisturizer, this is something that is very personal, and unfortunately, it takes trial and error since you have more combo skin, you may want to look into the Neutrogena hydra boost fragrance-free gel moisturizer, or the cereve daily lotion.  These may be too light for winter so a more "thicker" and more exclusive option would be the good molecules Silicone Free Priming Moisturizer.

Now in the Daytime, YOU NEED TO WEAR SPF, just wear it plz, the ren mineral mattifying SPF 30 is great but If you find this too drying like in the winter, you would probably love the Claris UV essence SPF 50.

Hope this helps.
